eh..how much is their basic package? is it 48? for me 48 is still expensive, im not a heavy user, i will consider to buy Iphone if the data plan is around 25~35

I just called to celcom customer service hotline & 3blue cube branch...none of them claim that celcom will launch Iphone4. The only thing which is true is they already launch their own micro sim for iphone/ipad usage..

what a sad news..... i will go to singapore by end of the week..buy Sg set..cheaper...then apply for Celcom data plan...

eh bro what do you mean by increases the TCO? I thought i can simply buy a SG set, get the microsimcard & apply for the cheapest data plan (rm 38)..

my monthly commitment now is rm50 (exec50), so i thought i only need to pay rm 50 + 38/month..correct me if i am wrong..

Maxis is selling outright iphone for 16GB at 2290..i guess ill buy at maxis and get celcom data plan....

anyhow..still need to wait until next week for the new stock to come..dun think any maxis centre in jb have iphone4 stock now..

guys...Our PM just announced in Malaysia 11th Budget that all the taxes for cellphone & PDA will be abolish with immediate effect. so do u think the price for Iphone & as well others brand will be cheaper?? im planing to buy it within this few weeks, but if the price is really going slash down, i rather wait! perhaps the price will be similar with singapore set

yup...i can agree with you bro. they (normal shop) might keep the price for their existing stock. but i dont think our telco C,D or M will do such thing coz they are not making a lot profit by selling the phone (1 time profit only), they r making profit by selling their services (data plan, call plan etc). some more, iphone4 stock is insufficient everywhere. so the upcoming new stock will be at a cheaper price. perhaps they`ll announce their new price soon..

Iphone become sold out is not because Iphone is hit selling item around the world or whatsoever. it is due to they are facing high rejection ratio in foxconn (apple manufacturer@subcon). im working with manufacturing industry, i do understand the overall picture. some more, in order to save their budget, all the set is ship out from china via sea shipment, so it took few weeks to reach US, Europe or even Asia. Foxconn is also facing manpower issues in China, the worker now is demanding for high salary. Btw, fyi, the concept for EMS is very easy, APPLE will only buy finish goods which is in OK condition with an agreement price from Foxconn. Raw material price up@down/reject/ quality issues all will be handle by Foxconn. Easy right? same strategies used by Microsoft (Xbox), Nike. Sony Ericson and many more.

Back to the "lower price story", bro would you buy a proton saga with the price tag of 90K but the actual price is 45k? or buy a bottle of 1.5L coca cola at rm10 ? Consumer are not stupid. anyhow seller need to lower down their price. with a cheaper price, people will buy more or in other words, people will quite often change their phones. You must know that the handphone business profit is very small nowadays...too many competition...1 seller drop price..sure all will follow...especially in a big place like Digital mall & of course Lowyat plaza.

well, for me its a good move from our goverment coz it`ll benefits us all. as i mentioned earlier, just wait & c...

hahaha but i wonder why all their phone is 15~20% cheaper than Malaysia price. i was shocked that a Galaxy s is only 1.8K in SG & 2.5K over here... 700 different is a lot man...can pay my car installment

u can take any executive plan 20@50@80..... then + data plan (cheapest is rm 38, for 1GB data, speed 384 kbps) once u reach 1GB..they`ll cap ur speed

the data plan itself is 48 bro..but if u bind together with any executive plan, they will charge it 38only. yup speed is 38, once u reach 1GB, they`ll cap ur speed.

yup..u can use celcom with IP4...shouldnt be any problem...the only problem is celcom did not offer any IP package...so celcom user is very dissapointed & the only way to get an IP4 is to buy outright (SG set..Digi Set..Maxis set)

hmm... i live in skudai too, TUTA area. celcom 3g coverage & speed is excellent. i was studying at utm 2years ago & my celcom broadband works perfectly at all the time.

well, i guess something must goes wrong...ur house surrounded by a tall building? why dont you call to celcom cs and complain?


as for their CS, i hve few bad experience with them as well, most of them are quite "blur2" type. i believe they r fresh grad who just start working..and being a CS is their 1st job...compred to telco M&D which is very helpful & efficient..

but calling celcom CS (1111) is Free...dont complain so much la....

which plan that gave u the bb for free?

i just came back from celcom (Kempas, Johor HQ). follow my colleague to purchase his BB. i saw this female CS carrying a box full of leaflet & suddenly she accidentally drop the box maybe coz its too heavy.

guess what??? the leaflet is for Celcom iphone4!!!! i ask her whether can i take 1, she said can not because celcom will only announce it on the 1st/2nd week of December. This leaflet is for their promotion at goverment agency...


the CS also told me that the price is almost similar with DIGI...but they will attract people with their Data plan....well it is just matter of time now..

eventhough its quite late...but im proud to be 1 of the loyal Celcom customer which soon going to enjoy Celcom Iphone4 package!!!!

im hoping for the same too..hopefully the upfront $$$ would be the cheapest among telco D & M...

yeah lucky u. i also almost buy outright set from MAXIS EP. must put 200 for booking & according to the CS, i can get the phone within 1-2Week. but dunno why i just dont feel to buy it from MAXIS.


anyway, dont you guys think Celcom should upgrade their website...its look very pathetic to me with a pood video introduction at front page..and lack of content compared to the other 2 major Telco.

not just gov servants i guess...for all those who work in private sector also soon going to get their bonus...(December = bonus month)...

hopefully the hunting season for IP4 with celcom wont goes as mad as D & M...

everybody feel the same now..... cant wait to step in the month of December.... even celcom staff dun even know that they are going to lauch BB torch until 1day before the actual launching day....

their marketing are quite good with keeping secrets......
