No problem. I dont post predictions or expectations that subconsciously hangs on one's preference, without hard evidence. Now the question is, do they let you get it on launch day, or will they ask you to come back on 26th/27th?
*
Well the Guy in the polo shirt said ( if I remember right ) That for launch day you need to buy the iphone with an ivalue plan , then the second phone you can buy outright. Otherwise, you have to get it on 26th onwards.

That's the first obstacle (LOL) The next issue is she booked 16 GB by mistake for me when in fact I wanted the 32 GB. However I booked 32 GB as well under my my name but I don't want the iValue. I'm hoping to transfer that 32 GB under my name to switch with the 16GB .

I would read the confirmation email as if I am able to get it there and then.

The title says "Thank you for booking an iPhone 4 from Maxis"

The launch details provide the 'pick up' date and time and location.

So I'd take it as if it is at the bare minimum, 51% likelihood of us getting it there and then.
*
What I meant was allocation for "buy outright" units. I'm sure those coming to the launch will get their units there and then. They may not allow "buy outright" unit to be purchased until 26th/27th.

I pray you're right. Weird that they did not specify that option being available, but probably just to maximise the amount of people getting it on plan by not making that option known to public.

Ah, my bad. As for the outright, we wouldn't know for sure except for word of mouth for now.

no double charge but they will just extend your contract. let say now u left 5 months. your new contract would be 5 + 12 months if you sign for 12 months option.  smile.gif

Hmmm.. even though i have decided to get myself a black Iphone 4 during this friday, i will still feel the feeling of uncertain whenever i look at WHITE iphone 4 picture.. In my mind the white one is like so much nicer in term of apperance. don't you guys feel so?

so it is like 'getting an iphone 4 asap' vs 'getting a better iphone 4'. Lol.

Is there anyone who already have a micro-sim cutter kind enough to bring to the event?

Wanna change my sub-line to micro-sim too but don't feel like paying maxis for it, RM25 for a micro-sim is too much.

RM10 still acceptable.

well, hold on a min... you guys mean that the smses to digi, celcom, etc are all chargeable and it's not included inside the RM100 plan for example?

that RM100 is for calls to all network only?

If you look at the RATES, there is a column "Free SMS*" , and then if you look at the bottom of the site for * reference - * Only applicable for Maxis to Maxis.

i think is pretty obvious stated on the web smile.gif By the way, have you ever check out the Rates page yet? brows.gif

Rm100 is for:
333mins call to any network, extra min = extra charge on top of RM100
200sms maxis to maxis, maxis - other telco -> extra charge on top of RM100
20mms maxis to maxis, maxis - other telco -> extra charge on top of RM100
1GB of network usage, extra usage count on rate 0.05/10KB -> extra charge on top of RM100

Impossible your bill to be Rm100 exactly per month,
coz there is 5% tax and for sure there is maxis - other telco sms.

Calls are to all local networks, which means digi, celcom also included, only oversea calls are excluded. Only the SMS and MMS is maxis to maxis. Try not to confuse people.

Maxis to Maxis is one thing. Thats to their own network. To all local calls means to all local telco, which includes Celcom, Maxis, Digi, etc etc etc. IT doesn't include calls to foreign telcos.
