i think Maxis allow you to charge on your next bill or just pay on the spot. I chose pay on the next bill.

On another note, I went to Maxis KLCC today and I asked a lady working there (wearing the iPhone polo shirt) - she said that iPhone 4 can be purchase outright from 27th Sept onwards from Maxis KLCC. She isn't sure about other Maxis cos the management is different (i don't understand why would it be different!). She added that this is why some branches accept authorization letter only and some don't (need owner there).

Just like to check, if I have a multisim package attached to my current unlimited data plan and I switch to the ivalue plan, will the data package ride on the ivalue plan automatically?

hey bro prasys,

maybe you could tweet to us directly how is the process going to be for those who have booked their phones.

then it may save a lot of guessing work and the crowd will be more well informed on how to go about it.

thanks in advance bro!

With my "work" behind me now, I can concentrate on the launch tomorrow. Anybody going for the launch at midnight as wanna meet up, or test FaceTime? I'm definitely going and will be there with my MiFi so that we can try FaceTime. Wanna get in on the festivities and tweet-on-the-spot on the happenings at the launch.

I'll probably designate a place to meet close enough to the launch venue, and tweet it from there for the location to meet. I dont think other hangout places around the immediate area are open at that time.

You were right. You were right all along! I got to someone who knew what he was talking about at a maxis centre and yes phones need to be the second one if u want to buy outright.

My friend is getting the ivalue plan and the second phone she booked I intend to buy outright using credit card under my name. Hope they don't give me a hard time for that since the credit card will be under my name.

No problem. I dont post predictions or expectations that subconsciously hangs on one's preference, without hard evidence. Now the question is, do they let you get it on launch day, or will they ask you to come back on 26th/27th?

I dont have the answer to that, it depends on their discretion on launch day. Remember I posted the alloted numbers available on the different days and time of the launch? On my documents it did not state if they are strictly only allocation for those buying with a plan, or if there are allocation for outright purchases.

I would read the confirmation email as if I am able to get it there and then.

The title says "Thank you for booking an iPhone 4 from Maxis"

The launch details provide the 'pick up' date and time and location.

So I'd take it as if it is at the bare minimum, 51% likelihood of us getting it there and then.
