Its common for Maxis iValue plans anyway, which is why people opted for Digi plans which offers both free calls and SMSes to all network, as well as unlimited Internet (which are still capped at 1GB for the cheapest plan). But Maxis does offers better coverage, so that's up to the user to decide which telco they want.

I have made a prebook(idata2) under my name as it is (principle line) as it says in the prebook page that supplementary line needs to be upgraded to principle line.

After consideration, I wanted to reg the idata2 plan for a supplementary line. Should I book a new one for my supplementary line and ignore the one I book earlier. Or maxis will charge me for not turning up.

Can I get the micro-sim change before the event or it will be on the spot of the event only can change.

if registering for my supplementary line, I can think of bringing the line owner's IC. any other docs you guys have in mind.

Guys you think it is worth taking the 24 month contract? at first I was opt for 12 month contract since the discount is not that great but later I read on maxis page stating that for 24 month contract they will extend the Iphone warranty as well.

I never use Iphone before therefore could not predict how reliable this device is or how much is the cost for the repair and maintainable.

Therefore the 24 month warranty is quite tempting.

24-months sounds good, but my question is, what happens next year when the new iPhone comes out? Are they going to extend your contract for another 12/24 months? You'll be pretty much tied to Maxis for life then.

doesnt the phone needs to be charge for x hours before using? If one were to cut their sim and do not have an adapter, you will be stuck with no communication until the phone is fully charged.

@merk no, iPhones can be used immediately. just return home n charge it full, then use it till empty, then charge full again.

True also.. i guess after get the phone, go back straight to charge it. I hope they will help transfer my old contacts to the new micro sim card. Am using Omnia 2 now.

The iPhone doesn't have to be charged for x hours simply because it uses a lithium-ion battery. These work differently from the standard old Nokia and Sony Ericsson batteries.
