QUOTE(nick67 @ Oct 20 2010, 04:55 PM) Wah damn nice wei! How is the performance? Performance wise so far so good (Just installed it yesterday), apart from missing some HTC (Especially the HTC Dialer) and Sense apps which I have used to so much before moved to MIUI ROM. Nevertheless, it is a nice ROM and a totally difference UI experience if you are comparing to Sense based ROM.I want to get it but I don't understand this part: Don't forget to do apps2sd procedure: After the first boot..download some terminal emulator from the market (or restore it if you have it in the backup)..i haven't include any terminal apps. Any help? The MIUI ROM comes with A2SD+ but somehow it requires additional procedures to activate it. Just download emulator from Market and follow the instructions as per given, key in the few lines of command and the next reboot the ROM will have its A2SD+ activated. You can ignore this part if you dont wanna use A2SD+ feature. |

Since V1 of this thread, this is the first time I found the thread being kicked into the second page..seems like Desire HD has captured all the attention..
QUOTE(nick67 @ Oct 20 2010, 06:25 PM) Thank you As for MIUI, it was the first non-Sense ROM i ever flashed, and I am still trying to get used to it. I'm still juggling whether I should flash it or not..Don't know if I'm going to regret losing out HTC sense No matter what, I think you should try it for a few days, see if you like it. You can turn back to Sense anytime.. |

I will skip this 10.15 and wait for the next release. fyi, this ROM is even faster with cache2sd disabled but at the expense of internal memory. I am thinking of rooting the Desire to remove some unwanted system apps that took up the internal memory space (i only have around 40MB left.. )
Care to share any tips/guides/links on how to remove the system apps after rooting the Desire? and what are the system apps that should NOT be removed at all? |

AuraxTSense has removed most of the apps - plurk and RSS are removed, Friend Stream still remain though. I read somewhere you can open the ROM zip files and delete whatever default apps you dun want and save the zip file (NOT unzip, delete, zip back). Just open the zip file with winrar and delete the files, save the modified zip file. But I not yet try it myself coz sometime this may cause a corrupted ROM file - so TRY IT AT YOUR OWN RISK if you really want to try. Or best you head to XDA to read more about this. |

Easiest way personally for me without learning all those ADB stuff is to locate those Online Kitchen to bake your own ROM exactly like how you want it to be. There is one at Modaco but of course, you will need to play to use that. Else, i remember seeing one at XDA developers. Search for that website and you can bake your own ROM.

Is it hard to pickup ADB? Any link/guide to learn ADB just for the sake of this system apps removal? |
