guys i'm stuck with either CM6 or OpenDesire?

can someone enlighten me?

and got some questions;

I'll divide into both regarding backing up;

Messages; I am happily backing up my sms using sms backup and restore; and when i flashed a new rom, i had no problems with it restoring my sms. but i have one question, why all my mms didnt appear? t just appeared as blank messages. i would love if my mms would be shown in the messages too.

Call logs; I tried myBackupProand restored my call logs. the problem is, after restoring my contacts, and restored the logs, it wont recognize the contacts. it just shows the numbers, not the contact name that i saved. is there any other apps that does this perfectly? i've installed Call logs backup and restore but i kinda afraid to use it cuz afraid it'll be the same as myBackuPro. if someone could enlighten me would be great.

i need a confirmation on this for CM6, does the camera really work? cuz someone said to me on xda, that you need to wait some intervals between capturing pictures, otherwise the phone will hang and need to remove battery.

Flashed CM6 and using REVOlution theme. Haha my Desire is badass now. but one thing, doesnt have A2SD yet and i have 20mb++ space left...sad.gif still can live with my everyday use though.

Keep restarting? Thats a bootloop. I dont know how to solve RUU problem though, cuz if rooted, anything can be done.

i cant seem to help i think. i left the unrooted world the second day i bought my desire.

if i have bootloop i'll just do a full wipe, reinstall rom or restore the nandroid backup and it'll work again. in your case i have no clue. since you still on RUU and unrooted, i suggest you claim your warranty lah.

Every AOSP rom are based on Cyanogenmod, so if you love to start from scratch, without nothing, got with CM BUT no A2SD+ for you. Well here is little comparison for you.

Cyanogenmod 6.0.1
- After installing, make sure to install the latest patch(found in CM forum), latest is 6.0.1.7. mine is 6.0.16 and i love it so far.
- No official A2SD+, unless you use darktremor's script. I tried that and got some bugs so i'd stay away and use the native A2SD, though my memoey are crying with 15mb now...sad.gif even the rom maintainer(Kali-), use the same as mine. Cm 6.1 shud have this support but unconfirmed.
- Most designers design themes for CM.
- I love it CM much better though!

OpenDesire
- AdamG has done a great job with daily updates.
- got A2SD+ !!
- Its fast, but got some additional stuffs included which some people dont like so they use CM.

I tried both, and both are fast, and stable with minor bugs.

the 720p is great. just make sure you dont use class 2 card cuz it'll lag, though when you move it to your pc its perfect HD.

was about to find it for ya. hihi...expect 6.0.2 soon. Kali- is working on it. and i hope it fix camera issue. if not hope 6.1.0 does that with A2SD+ included.

CM on Desire are not really stable yet. I had that once. it may be caused when you installing an app too. I got it after i restored my backup apps. but it didnt happen automatically(which it should be), but after shutting down like you did.

Easy, yeah it is cause Malaysia still didnt get it~~ hate to admit it, but we suck in technology and updates.
