AuranXSense has been quite quiet recently. I heard the rom chefs are discussing the possibility of porting over the new Sense from Desire HD. If the new Sense and the new features really work perfectly on the current Desire, we all will sure be the most importantly the pre-cached Google Map.

you should do Titanium backup and copy all the files from the old card to your computer first. Then only put in new card and do ext3. After that, boot up your phone, copy back all the files from computer back to phone. Then do Titanium restore.

I think this is roughly what I did when I upgrade my card.

i think most likely we will see there are pre-cached map data that can be downloaded.

Root and flash custom rom with A2SD+.

For me, it depends on the screen specs. Not much temptation for me to change to HD for now. My current Desire is great enough. Maybe can wait longer to get something much better early next year.

wow... great news indeed. But i think like the official Froyo, most likely we will get it in custom rom months before the official one come out.

I just check manually just now - no update available, my phone is up to date. Using AuraxTSense 7.6.1.

actually you can install Astro from Market and download the apk of the file you want from the web and install with Astro. No need root your phone.

I can find the app and download but it installed unsuccessfully. Dun know whether is it becoz I am on custom AuraxTSense rom.

need to fake operator with Market Enabler, dun ask me why.

As i can download and cannot install, I did a reboot. Then cannot find it at Market too, so I use Market Enabler, now can see. BUT now cannot download, it will just stuck at start downloading.

Added on September 22, 2010, 11:58 amUpdate: Uninstalled Gmail 2.2.1 with Titanium Backup. Reboot. Run market enabler. Find Gmail 2.3 in market - download and install successfully.

I think bro mike should put this in faq. You should try clear market cache first - settings>>application>>manage applications>>all>>clear cache. Some say login in googletalk also helps sometime.

wow.. luckily your new tough save your Desire. although epik case quality is not that good but their screen protector is not bad.

I just remove the battery if it hangs.

If your Desire becomes hot and hang on prolong use, it is not normal. Hot is normal but hang is not. Some Desire user in Spore get a mobo replacement for the overheat problem. You might consider sending it for replacement if yours are Maxis/Sis authorised set.

Added on September 24, 2010, 10:24 amdid you wipe wipe wipe everthing and do factory reset before you install the new rom? I suggest you do from ground zero - repartition your card, do ext3, wipe everything, then only install the a new rom, then the radio. Please do not forget to backup!!

Try the AuraxTSense 7.6.1 with radio 32.47.00.32U_5.10.05.23. Few AuraxTSense users find this combo stable and fast.

is it becoz yours is the SLCD unit? My Amoled Desire no such issue.

I use windows 7 chinese input to change the chinese name with mp3tag. If you can see the chinese word properly in Windows7, it will appear correctly in Desire.

Just tested, no prob with mine to use h.263/264 codec.

the AuraxTSense HD 1.2Beta is under a new thread now, not removed.

I am using AuraxTSense 7.6.1 with 32.47 radio - good combo and solid stable.

of course need to wipe everything.

Move to the dark side - root and flash custom rom like AuraxTSense. Battery life will improve a lot. Anyway, new phone battery will take some time to ''burn in''.

wow.. i just reboot my Desire to disable market enabler - true enough, can see paid apps in market with ringgit price. I am with Maxis for the last day today. I have been to Digi to sign up the SmartPlan finally afternoon just now.

i did root my Desire but i did not use market enabler. Previously I need to use market enabler to see all the paid apps priced in USD.
