No. The phone was left idle in the box in the drawer. Nobody touched it at all. Is there something wrong with the battery?

I guess it's normal. You have to let the battery go through a few cycles for it to calibrate I guess. You can try to google for the calibration method. It helps.

Shouldn't matter what brand of USB cable. You probably bought a faulty cable. Does it detect the usb cable when you plug in?

yo buddy.. finally i rooted my desire using unrevoked .. as simple as it could b..wink.gif... nyways, now can u tell me
how do i install apps in sd card.
how do i save my battery

thanks man

Install sparepart app and app2sd app from market. In sparepart app there is option for u to set the default installation location, and using app2sd to move app from phone to sd. If it cannot, means u have to partition ur sd card using rom manager app.

To save battery, u have to flash undervolt rom or kernel from xda developer forum. If u like sense ui, try flash to auraxtsense rom. If u like normal android ui, try cynanogen or defrost. If u like iphone style ui, try miui rom.

Is anyone having these problems?

1. Continuous restart as in like restarting 15 times in 5 minutes without touching anything?
2. I just updated the software and now installing it. It is now at the T-Mobile logo at start-up?

Please help and do you think I just need to send it to the service centre?

Thanks.

1. I'm not sure whether it's normal but when you are doing something (just fiddling around with the phone changing settings, it just reboot itself not even switching on the phone. So, fine. Then, it keeps rebooting non-stop for 6-10 times non stop (sometimes just before the HTC logo comes out). So, I fear it might spoil the phone if it keeps rebooting non stop.
2. Ya, I am now stuck at the boot up screen for the past 2 1/2 hours. I think it's a bit long for an update of software! sad.gif

Any suggestions?

how about try restoring to factory setting...maybe it can help too...another way is try booting your phone without your memorycard...sometimes the memorycard can cause some sort of problem also...

which ROM that you are using

I am using auraxtsense 7.8.1, tweaks including super battery circle and richardtrip Froyo Kernel V5f_HAVS@925mV min No Audiomod version
but i can't get Quadrant score more than 1100

and i've encounter hang when receive call once in the bluemoon

i am staying at 7.8.1 because i need the WIFI tethering
*
I'm just using the stock froyo rom with init.d support from this link: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=773997

It's exactly similar to the original rom comes with each new Desire, but this allow for more tweaks and mods eg: super battery circle (better battery display), richardtrip kernel (further battery saving and performance boost), A2SD+ (allowing more freedom of internal memory space), and more updated google apps for Facebook, mail, etc.

This ROM can be flashed directly onto the original rom without full wipe. At least that's work for me, but nandroid backup is still a must! Too bad it does not support Ext4 yet and installing Dark Tremor's A2SD will give it a boot loop.

I believe this is the most stable ROM out there, as it IS the original sense rom issued by HTC anyway. biggrin.gif

This rom would be recommended for people who likes the original ROM but wish for more tweaks and improvement to make it better!

If the problem still persist, try to wipe battery info.

in the sparepart apps, look for app2sd drop down (stated as: "where to strore apps") if that doesnt appear maybe u dont have any partition in ur sd card. hence u have to download rom manager to partition it. fyi, auraxtsense is a sense base rom.

regarding the update, if you still using the default rom you will still receive the update. unless you flash to another custom rom.
