Thanks for your explanation bro. rclxms.gif

one more question bro, is it Celcom charge 'Pay per Use' after 3G limit usage ??? or they slow the connecttion.

coz my bad experience with Maxis , they charge 10kbps for RM 0.05 .if u exit the limit.... rclxub.gif  rclxub.gif  rclxub.gif without Notification or Alert Email.

are u using maxis wireless broadband or mobile internet??? i thought they mention they will only cap the speed for the wireless broadband and wont charge extra and only mobile internet will charge??

my place, maxis run really smooth and fast..always got H sign .. digi also stable but only got edge connection.. celcom always got problem. but really depend area i think..cant compare with other ppl.. cos different location maybe connection speed also not same..

Last time bought Galaxy S for my wife with 12 months contract. Maxis did not seem to cap the usage nor slow down the speed. So got charged around RM300 per months. Does not seem they were interested to really monitor our usage, in fact glad if we do exceed the limit.

So now I bought Tab outright and upgraded my wireless broadband plan plus use mifi. This way, I npticed that they wont overcharge you but just slow down the speed.

if im not mistaken, the celcom operator did mention to me bout the data limit which is 5GB..if exceed the limit, the connection just will slow down..no extra charges..u still can try contact celcom center..if u wish, i can help u ask celcom center...

yeah, just called celcom, the operator said, no xtra charge if exceed 5GB, only slow down..by the way 5GB ITS A LOT OF BROWSING!!! drool.gif

haha...all the best to ya thumbup.gif

so mean wireless broadband if exceed the limit only slow down the speed but wont charge for extra.. only mobile internet will charge if using extra the limit right??? then i think really not worth if u r heavy users.. digi smartplan is much more better if got 3G connection in my place.. at least they wont charge u for overlimit.. hmm.gif too bad broadband package cant combine with call plan into one sim.. or else taking broadband package is much more worth it at least wont charge for extra usage.. blush.gif

For galaxy tab owner and user,Sony play station apps for android is working like perfect machine on galaxy tab.Just download and feel endless game in this world.

Added on January 13, 2011, 11:06 pmI never regrets buy this SGT using my hard earn money. After two month using it and compare with ipad,I
dare to say this tab is DOA.For those who use this tab will know that they never revert to netbook for browsing internet.Further more I personally think.this android platform is amongst light weight in OS system. So people get advantage over speed and RAM management.

Yes, been using wireless broadband with Maxis for the past 3 years and they never charged me if over limit, just slow down my speed.

My wife's mobile internet always get crazy bills. Just that in my area, no competitor, HSDPA only Maxis

hey guys..does anybody know whether singapore set is under international warranty? not those under telcos ...wanna get one soon..
thanks..if anyone reply.

oh..how to check the region that kinda thing? thanks.

My cousin works with Samsung Service and he confirmed that SGT is a considered a phone so no international warranty like all mobile phones these days. The serial no and software version determines which region the phone is from.

So we were advised not to buy phones from other regions which are not meant for ours so as not to complicate matters in case if you require assistance in warranty issues if it arisses. Play safe he said.

This is to prevent Malaysians from purchasing their sets from Indonesia or Thailand which are definitely cheaper than the ones sold locally.

Hope this info is useful...

I think the units promoted and sold by other Telcos (Digi/Celcom) other than Maxis can be considered original units distributed (stocks taken from) by Samsung Malaysia. Likewise those units purchased directly from Samsung outlets. AP or underwater units does not apply here.

Please correct me if I am wrong. Is good for potential buyers to know what they are buying or getting themselves into.
