ReasonsofThanatos: No, Local AF points will not sort that out.

No, the 50mm F1.4 is sharp - just that misfocusing makes it appear soft when it is actually misfocused.
*
so d best way would be manual focus? or just focus on the subject then recompose, like what i've always did..

QUOTE(ieR @ Sep 25 2010, 01:22 AM)
50 F1.4 is really really sharp!

here a sample, zommed 100%, F2 on my calibrated A300. *warning HUGE photo*

Everyone pls advice me on this icon_question.gif

i bought a nex3 1855 2 months ago, and now i wan to buy a 50mm f1.8 lens.

So i nid to buy a adapter = RM600

but if i sell nex 3 = RM 1600 (if possible, i bought at RM 1900)

then i buy a a33 = Rm 2100-2200 (rrp 2400)

but then i hv a new camera and new technology drool.gif

nex advantage to me : small n pretty (but adapter on it will destroy all)

a33 advantage to me : more button, more lens available(steady shot inside), and hv all function on NEX.

so is it a correct choice to sell nex3 ? icon_question.gif

@ReasonsofThanatos
where you go for bikini shot?? tempting.. biggrin.gif moars pls

@Ah hao
if you prefer small camera, i think just stick to NEX-3 + 16mm
or better still, buy a compact, seriously..
but everything there is trade-off, if want quality, sure quantity($) and size also bigger

NEX is the king of manual lenses (especially those small lenses) IMO and the following update makes it more direct accessible + movie mode can control aperture during recording under AF or MF mode!

Unless you want to go with Alpha lens or more AF lenses if not NEX is still good to use :/

Totally ... compare with A33/A55, A550 feels more solid when it mount with VG !! xD

But I like A33/A55 as a combocam (video+photo) with prime too just AF .... like Contrast AF (NEX-side) or Phase Detection AF (SLT-side) makes me hard to choose T.T
