Just to share with you guys.

I sent my car for polishing yesterday in a shop somewhere near my house. It was about 4pm then. All the while i've wanting to get my car properly polished as i noticed a lot of tiny scratches on the car. When reached the shop, the guy asked me what type of polish i want. I just tell him i want to get rid of the scratches on the car. The guy suggested that i should take the 3 layer polish and it will cost me RM250 and that he uses good quality polish (showed me his accessories). I was quite reluctant at first since this is my first time to have my car polished. I told the guy i'll give it a try if he can lower the price to RM200. He later countered offer at RM210 which i agreed. He told me the whole process will take about 3 hours and he can sent me home first and later delivered the car to me. I agreed to it. About 3 hours later, he delivered the car to me. I must say i'm quite impressed with the work done. All the scratches disappeared and the car looked like brand new.

I've attached some photos of my car after it being polished. FYI, my windows are tinted with Llumar film. It has been close to a year now and the film still remain intact. No signs of peeling off as of yet. Happy with it.  biggrin.gif

Wanna consult you pros out there.
i) Is RM200-RM250 the market price for 3 later car polish?
ii) This guy is using Meguiars polishing accessories on my car. Is this a good brand?

Yup, Mequiars is good. I used to send my car for polish with Meguiars as well. Even its car wash is good, u can feel the extraordinary smoothness of the body after the washing. And, I spent RM250 for car polishing with Meguiars.........and your sharing simply reminds me.....why am i so stupid never ask for discount, alamak doh.gif

Thanks bro. At least i know i didn't kena 'potong'. tongue.gif That guy also hoping i will introduce more ppl to his shop i believe. That's why he give the discounts. biggrin.gif

I agree that their car wash is good too. There were a couple of cars before me which really looked good after being washed.

The guy suggested that i should wash my car once a week to remove the dirt and that i should wax it once every 3 months. Nowadays, it rain almost everyday. No mood to wash also. sad.gif

This guy operates from Klang (Teluk Pulai area to be precise). If u seriously wants to give it a try, i can accompany you and get you the discounts. Not to say i'm close to the guy but i believe he can recognize my car. Not too many M2s around Klang as of yet.

Did it ever cross you guys' mind that if you leave your car at the car polish center and they drive you back while getting the work done, they might duplicate your car key?

It sounds kinda scary to me that if they duplicate your car key, and they know where you stay....

Just a thought though... icon_rolleyes.gif

I got my car in June 2010 but i believe the car has been lying at the yard for close to a year. There was some delayed in getting my car primarily due to the waiting time in getting my preferred car number. Eventually i lost the tender but somehow managed to get my #2 choice. biggrin.gif

I checked with the servicing agent and he actually recommended that i should get my car polished at least 1 round by professionals to get an optimum result. I'm not really expert in this but am happy that my car now looks brand new again. tongue.gif

____________

I don't think the keys can be duplicated just like that. I ever checked with the SA many many times about this. They said it's pointless to duplicate the key as their HQ only recognize the codes in our main key. To replace a lost main key will probably cost a few hundred bucks.

ps : I have a friend who recently paid RM1700 to get a replacement to his main key for his Mercs. shakehead.gif

I did it in Ipoh and this should be the only one uses Meguiar's. It's in Ipoh Garden East commercial district, nearby to these shops that can be seen from NS Expressway, Waraku Japanese Restaurant, Beauty Balloon.

Pro Car Care Center
No.1, Jalan Medan Ipoh 8, Bandar Baru Medan, 31400 Ipoh, Perak.

The one in Klang operates near my house. So i don't bother to get any details as i can always drop by to send my car for a wash or something.

I'll try to get the details and post it on the forum soon.

Does anyone experience engine jerking during the traffic jam? Mine happened yesterday evening and this morning as well, the check engine light was on for a while ( engine ‘mati’ like that). Is it related to spark?

Then back to normal again.

I dropped by at the car wash yesterday and asked for their name card. Apparently they do not have one. They just passed me their contact whom you guys can call for the car polishing inquiries.

Name : Shah
Mobile : 0176599801
Location : Taman Melawis Klang, next to ACS school along Jalan Raya Barat

I can help to guide you to the place if you have an interest to try it out.

Hope this info helps.
