Dear Zoomers... Recently my rim got dented & my tyre need to be chgd...I call up Bermas authorised dealer for a spare tyre and they told me 1 tyre cost RM380!!! I like wat the hell...

I checked most of the tyre shops & they told me the Mazda 2 tyre size 195/45 is not available in the market & could not be found except from Mazda own dealer... I tried to trade my current tyres & they told me that it is not tradeable as none than M2 is using those tyres...

So I went to Klang & managed  to trade my tyres for RM100 each & chgd to size 205/45...My baby look much better now & each tyre cost me RM270 only (before trade in price...Brand, DUNLOP)...The owner even told me that 195/45 is too small for my 16" rim...

Guys if u need to chg ur tyre i would suggest to purchase outside rather than Bermas authorised dealer...the price is crazy...

even the size 195/50 cost around RM250-270 only...& they are charging RM380 just because others have no access to those size...

I'll snap a pic of my new tyre when I have the time...

205/45 looks just nice for our rim... + stable ...

Just to share my experience on my tyre prob with other zoomers... smile.gif

yaya..as i said..wheels looked bigger a bit..by the way, bermaz din simply put price for its 195/45 tires as that tire is rili rm300++ in the market, the tire manage to curb with up to 270 km/hr speed (altot our mazda cant fast til that speed =.=ll)..keep forgot to take my car photo..grimlock u tk urs show show bit lo..

Added on December 7, 2010, 11:07 pmby the way, ur rim dented stil can use, grimlock?

My friend also own an M2 changed all tyres after abt 1 month. He said the original tyres are quite easy to crack. One of his happened so & therefore he changed to Continental. Price almost same with Dunlop, but i didnt ask whether it's 195/45 or 205/45.

Myself also ran thru potholes few times (yes, thanks to our lovely gov creating those holes for better economy.....force us repair car vmad.gif ) lucky the car stays intact. But plastic sound here & there inside cockpit......annoying

How's the Continental Performance ? nice mou?

yea lo .. our "lovely" government, find every each of the way to sxxk the money from us..

Btw, something here to share, my finding -not sure it happen to all of your case or not.
FYI, When driving through the Rough Surface, got annoying plastic sound coming from drawer side, just like something loosen inside. I found there is piece of plastic being islanded, and there where the sound come from. My solution is, i use a piece of rack(or you may use sponge) to fill up the space between the islanded plastic and the body, and the sound gone.

Suggestion from Foreman, to avoid rubbing sound of the plasticy car body with the door panel's rubber. Always use some leather cleaner to clean up the rubber (i think too add up moist la, just like our skin tongue.gif tongue.gif )
clean your dashboard with the same cleaner too, avoid from using the cleanser on the meter part.

but where can we get this?? and is it useful as it sounds so ?

Added on December 8, 2010, 1:02 pminfo from the Foreman, our malaysia M2 chasis/ engine area .. don't have protection, meaning when crashing, high chance that your chasis will spoil ...
so? drive with care .....

Under Bermaz 3 years free service, they give us Shell semi-synthetic oil but also maintain that 10k service interval. When i question the SC personnel on this he pointed me to the big Shell poster that claim their semi-synthetic can last for 10k. But then again, SC always recommend paying customer to use fully synthetic in order to last 10k. hmm.gif

Anyone have idea whether power retractable side mirror for M2 is available in Malaysia? How much roughly it costs? Would installing it void the warranty?

May check out with new GS accessories (mazda authorize accessories panel)
i think if u may get the retractable part yourself, may request new GS Accessories to avoid warranty void

Magpies9, yea .. shall we lodge a complain to mazda due to the Shell semi-synthetic oil for the car service???
Yes, it's free service.. but they seems not giving it willingly ...
very disappointed on what they done
as i know semi-synthetic can last for 5k..
the 10k things is bullshit ...

You should make a formal complain, as they should be giving you the same Shell Helix Ultra fully synthetic oil like the rest of us who don't have 3 years free service, I only get 3 labour free services and had to pay for oils and parts.

Which oil are the SC providing for 3 years free service?

Has anyone aldy change the air filter? How is it (K&N?) ? If i do it not in bulk but individually would it very costly?

My rim dented sent to tire shop and repair... Look like its usual form now...Just that the tire need to chg... If u do in Sunway or any direct Rim Technician is will cost u around RM30... Mine I paid for RM65 as I went through another tire shop... Becareful with the pod holes as the M2 tires are very thin & can't protect ur rim when u go "Bang"! vmad.gif

that's why i wonder why the rim crack easily .. so my doubt is .. is it the quality problem ?
coz seems like quite much of things been taken off from the car previously, to lower the price of the car. could it be the same case ?
just my guess
