thanks ElaineG.. btw, anyone experienced a knocking sound from front & rear suspension when driving @ harm??

Yup I had that sound coming from the front right suspension, Bermaz tried to check but could not find the problem, so they changed my front suspension and a bracket arm thingy, but still the knocking sound is there.

I gave up trying to find the problem and just live with it

you can try bring your car to Bermaz and get them to check, tell them this is not the first case and they should know.

As a Mazda 2 Owner , I am going thru the hard time now ..

It is about the car rim .
My M2 is just abt 3 mths and mileage is about 5000KM.

On monday I found that my driver side tyre puncture. As norm practice , I changed to the spare tyre (which is yellow colour) and brought the affected tyre to the shop to check.

Shock of my life when i was informed that my rim cracked .. it is about 2cm... how does it happen ?

I remember that i accidently drove into a small hole 2 months back and the hole is not that deep or big as i check immediately there is nothing affected.

Y'day ,I went to Mazda service centre to check what is the default and i am so disappoint with the answer given.

1. There is no warranty and they claim I hit a big hole.
2. They keep on saying that the quality of the rim cannot be assured and it is not their matter.
3. BIG surprise the one unit of RIM will cost RM 1500.

My question is :
1. The rim is not reliable ? no quality ?
When you are driving about 40Km and hit a hole , can a car rim crack ?

I had same experience with Sentra and what happen is totally different . The type puncture and rim was bend a bit but NOT CRACK.

So the rim is not reliable ? compare to other models ?
and the cost of replacement is so high ?
It is a very bad experience for me as the owner of M2..

a good excuse to upgrade rims ..1.5 k is too expensive for a rim ..better go for light weight rims

anyway try and get a better rims then dun go for lightweight rims as our roads is so comfortable.
unless u r rich enuf to buy additional rims

about the alarm..i confirmed when you off your engine..and forgot to jock the car, it auto lock and the alarm rearm..i tried it by sitting in the car after i off my engine..the sensors worked and the alarm sounded when i move inside..

This is bad. I'm kinda disappointed to know mazda give this kind of service. Can you argue with him? Urghh.. i thought this only happens to proton..
Hey, 2cm crack yer know? Imagine what kind of impact you need to make a 2cm crack. For such and impact, it will certainly spoils the alignment of your car. Show to them that there is no such impact happened.

this is not about service pls... when u buyin a car they show you agrmnt wich inclde warranty wich is not... and u go accdnt and bring your car to mazda service and say this happen and since under warranty can u make it pls... of coz not... people do somethin wich s their own fault blame the company...

i go pj mazda service 2 time... and their service really good listen everythin carefully... and 1 month of m2 that i have here no problem at all.. (wind noise only i gonna make sound inst...soon)

AA sorry to hear that u got crck rim... but u gotta ask urslf is it really u not did anythin...maybe u not remembr ...

im not a Mazda malaysia supporter since they give me nothin special... but i don wan any1 here blame mazda easly .. mazda is a good brand.... better then many brand in My..
