2. is the the new batch M2, the front parking sensor had been removed?
3. Did you all notice the front lamp is plastic cover?
4. how much is the ARM rest cost ar? can we install it ourself after purchase ?
5. the aircond smell issues, is that rectify in the new batch? or else i have to ask the SA le.. which i'm not sure they are telling the truth la .
6. the front suspension, is it an issue on every M2 car ?
7. Where you all tinted your car ar ? how much and what brand de?

1. Dont understand you 1st Q. Basically just check the physical car for the spoiler and side skirting.
2. Apparently new batch without front sensor. Mine have the sensor but i find it kinda redundant.
4. Arm rest not available in malaysia yet?
7. There's probably 1001 type and brand of car tinting. Haha. Just dont trust the salesman when he say he can "pao"/ guarantee police saman.  tongue.gif
*
yea wor .. i ask the Bermaz sales person, they say ArmRest not available.
for your answer to my question 1.. actually i dunno whether the car been installed side skirting or not, but i saw spoiler
=.="

for me, front sensor also kinda useful sometime, and the retractable side mirror also .. but both been taken out tongue.gif

btw, i knew from the SA, they are give 3 keys and 2 remote control to replace the front sensor

Added on November 21, 2010, 7:33 pmactually, just want to confirm whether the car is installed with the skirting or not, coz i really can't tell whether the car is installed with skirting, since show room only have VR specs and R specs
and the SA said, in the promotion period, they got give Bodykits for free

I'm not sure about the answer but in my opinion it won't lar... Install tint on the inner part of the window also won't void warranty let alone installing outer part... it's not like it will spoil the motor etc... just my 2cent icon_rolleyes.gif

i got my M2 sedan yesterday d ~~ rclxm9.gif rclxm9.gif rclxm9.gif rclxm9.gif

satisfy with the handling, but 1 things not really satisfy is the sound proof la .. still big noise when driving at highway ...

interior bit a little bit "clik clok" sound at the passenger seat side ....

Run through the User Manual.
discovered that, the User Manual is not an updated 1 ... tongue.gif
i think they direct use the print copy from thailand one .....

*sigh*
1. keyless entry + keyless engine start
2. door auto locking(e.g like MyVi one, after 30 seconds you trigger the unlock, it will lock back the car's lock if the door is not open)
3. power folding mirror
4. INFO button ( tell you the temperature, set alarm (speed alarm), approximately distance you can travel on the remaining fuel
5. headlight leveliing.....
6. automatic air conditioner
7. 6 disc changer CD player
8 luggage compartment light ?????

all above mentioning, semua tarak ....

one very funny things.. as mentioned, front alarm is taken out. and they replace with 2 alarm keys, and 1 spare key. heard SA say, one alarm key need RM 600++ (is that need to be so expensive?), and they giving extra..
The point is, if you all those car with wireless entry and keyless engine start(e.g Suzuki Swift, Nissan Latio), they are using such kind of key (with RF frequency)
and i believe that kind of key need to be RM 600++ per one ...
our mazda 2 (malaysia) are not installed with the system, what they giving the key for ???? unsure.gif
for us to Shock Sendiri ?? doh.gif

should we suggest to Bermaz so that they can update their UserManual ??? tongue.gif

lolz ~~

Mazda 2 lacks a lot of stuffs compare to others..
the only thing me and my wife to pick m2 hatch is the exterior..
but so far rarely see full spec hb on the road and till now we are enjoying the attention we get while parking haha..
end if the year getting new rims..might top up to change the tires as well..
*
yea lo.. lacking of a lots of stuffs compare to others....
and i think they really should update the user manual ...

better change your tyre,if your m2 is R spec .. as very limit choice if you stick to 195/45 R16 ...

for me, i like the feeling driving the car biggrin.gif .. good handling when test drive last time

feature wise, i think i dun ask for more la ..
just want them to install back either RPM lock or Brake lock ....
tongue.gif
keyless entry also la, if possible brows.gif

i dun mind getting one key only, if those features available brows.gif

Our M2 comes with build in immobilizers, the correct car key (which contains the digital key) will disable the immobilizer when you insert into the key slot, then only you can start your car. That's why it's a bit expensive.

As for the 30 seconds lock back, my M2 has it, if I press unlock from the keyless remote and not open any doors for 30 seconds, the lock will lock back itself, not sure why you say you don't have it. Luggage compartment light also got.

But mainly the manual is from thailand spec, that's why you have the INFO button, keyless start in the manual. Not so sure about the headlight leveling though. But I totally agree with you that Bermaz should print their own manual for Malaysia owners, since features are different from other countries.

If I rev my car sure got smell, but I recall Bermaz SA saying that new batch have this issue resolved, us early owners have to send back to them to install a sort of filtering kit to isolate the smell, I haven't done it yet but will definitely check with the SC on my next service.

Added on November 24, 2010, 9:13 pmbabyblur,

you should send your car back to the tint shop and demand they replace the broken clip or something, not sure they will entertain you but at least that's what I'll do.
*
hi shlimmm,
if not mistaken, the spare key(the one without the lock and unlock button) also have such digital key .. they can always just give us the spare key. just my 2 cents.

30 seconds lock back not exists in M2 was told by my SA..... maybe i should test it out first ... erm ..

Hi Guys,

I am a M2 (V spec sedan) owner in penang, just wondering do you guys having any balancing problem during the highway drive?

I feel that my M2 not really stable when up to 100 - 120kmph, the steering can shift to left or right a bit.

Would it be the car is not heavy enough? The steering is too light?

By the way i just done on alignment and balancing in Tyer shop and still feel the same.
*
not able to test at that speed this few days .... coz city drive. BTW, you driving at rough surface?
send SC for checking ?

btw, i have experience drive around 80km/h to 100km/h at rough surface ...
and the sound from tyre is really really loud unsure.gif

went SC federal highway to checkout the
1. sound/noise come from the door panel this morning
2. Aircond rotten smell issue

here is what i got
1. they replace the air cond filter
2. for the door panel sound, it's actually a manufacturing defects (the sound rubbing in between the plastic when u drive through rough surface), which they got no solution for that as well. the only things they do is apply some silicon.

btw, had gotten some info from SC on the accessories
go to -> New GS Accessories ( right opposite Jalan 222 shell petrol station )

RM 95 (set of 4 scuff plate)
RM 120 ( set of 4 door visor)
RM 485 (include installation- REAR spoiler)
RM 20 ( oil filter)
RM 89.90 (ash tray)
RM 441.50 ( Transmitter )
RM 178.60 (key-blank primary)
RM 895.00 (alarm set)
RM 380 ( include installation - auto trigger brake lock set)
RM 485 ( side mirror cover with LED set)

K&N will improve the air intake to the combustion chamber. yes, u might have a problem with timing as now ur air intake is richer so adjusting the right fuel to air ratio is advisable, though not many done it.

Go to any Mazda SC if u have doubts  to retune the AFR as they had the gadgets for it

from mazdaclub review on K&N
*
suggestion is ?
buy K&N, and ask Mazda SC to retune AFR ?
