(via PPOE) I'm now using that DIR-615 as bridge for IPTV only, I just want to "stress" it within the 1 year warranty period Yes, basically you can use any of your currently router, just setup the PPPoE user ID & password [like Streamyx] will do! Actually with RB250GS, you have several options: http://forum.lowyat.net/index.php?showtopi...entry36346448 |

QUOTE(oreomambo @ Sep 24 2010, 10:19 AM) Sorry bro, typo. It is RB750G (gigabit version). Landasan is selling it at $310. They were telling me it was selling well for resolving Unifi, so i guess many folks who made the purchase knew that they are able to configure this thing. Not sure how many they have left. I'll drop in a quick setup screenshot (and maybe some terminal commands) later in the evening. Hi bro.... where can i get the RB750G ?? I have just registered for unifi... in the case if the Dlink router really can't work well.. i need to get this to replace it...One thing for sure, i've not have any jitters or lagging IPTV. Been running it for few days now without any glitch. You can see from the switch a constant 8mbps just for the IPTV alone and about 5-10% CPU utilisation (even if i've blasted it with huge download via VIP5). QUOTE(klseet @ Sep 23 2010, 10:41 PM) Ok guys, may I suggest the following options for those who can't make it to TheCurve: Has the second shipment arrives yet?1. take LRT to Kelana Jaya, I'll drop by after TheCurve 2. if really must go LowYat, then I'll schedule a day sometime next week. 3. if both the above still cannot, then you probably have to come to my area to pick-up Please either PM or SMS me if you cannot make it there, I'll try my best to see what can I do! |

Bro, I still have this IPTV problem. Sometimes I can get smooth Live TV but not VOD, or smooth VOD but not Live TV. And a lot of times after few try I lost the IPTV at all. It looks to me that the IPTV server kind of "sense" the non-standard equipment and block the access? Is there anything else in configuration that I did wrong? Finally they call me up to set an appointment to fix my unifi which went down a week before raya until now. Can't believe they have taken this long without calling me at all until yesterday night.
I made a report that same day when unifi went down. On 15th Sept or so, I call them up to check my report which they said they would look into my problem. On 21st/22nd Sept call them up again asking whats taking them so long and the guy on the line said after checking, he found that the network team already check my line and found it's ok, so they thought it was fine although the report is sort of hanging(they pass it to the next 'team' that's supposed to look into it, and that team did take up my case but sort of didn't make a remark or anything and just left it hanging like that). He said he already pushed the case to someone/network team again I guess to check and someone will call me up in a few days which didn't happen at all until last night. And I bet if I didn't call them up first, I would be waiting until next week perhaps. Called them yesterday evening asking why nobody haven't contacted me yet. And the girl on the line said she'll check and said she would call me back later. 14-30mins after that someone(same person?) call me up to fix an appointment for them to come over on Monday(saturday, sunday free kot..). They better come around 10-11am and not sometime later. I too have my own work schedule. SATURDAY/SUNDAY pls. Employ someone or two to work on urgent(line totally down) cases on those days lah. I really hope they improve regarding these sort of stuff. If the link is totally down, why the hell can't they check properly in a quick manner and at least call me up to check on things(especially after their network team check the line from their side saying it's ok on their end). Kinda frustrating that it is us that have to do the work to chase them asking what's taking them so long when it is them that is supposed to do it. I understand before raya and perhaps a week after raya as well that a lot of people are in raya mood on holidays. But right now is already the 2nd week going into the 3rd week. I'm happy with the quality of the line, the speed and the price(all three may not be anywhere close to perfect, or the best around, or even what we 'expected' but to me they are good enough since it's 24/7, unlimited download, good consistent speeds, and most times it works with minimal downtime-to me). But having to endure these sort of stuff kinda tarnish those thoughts. 3 weeks, 4 calls, one email, and only then I get a call back. Scratch two weeks from there, and it still doesn't look good. My line is down, how hard is it for them check my line and explain things why it's down and when they can fix it or something? This post has been edited by Wan: Sep 25 2010, 02:17 AM |
