it will be enough if you behave well.. use it for normal non draining stuff like fb-ing and if you plan to youtube or something use wi-fi then 500mb is enough

There are loads of Asian videos in RMVB format, e.g. Taiwanese gameshows. BTW, Rockplayer plays RMVB. And very well too, on my Galaxy S. It's a pity though that Rockplayer does not support GPU acceleration - battery consumption is higher and does not play MKVs smoothly like the the built in video player app.

Exactly, most of the movies I get are in rmvb format.
I m also using Rockplayer now.
Just wondering does it have a volume control? Every time I need to change the volume, I have to go out to the setting to change the volume. There is no volume control in the video player??

You can press on the volume rocker button on the side of the SGS to increase or decrease the volume while watching the video

Some of use use the phone as a modem/wifi router too. So 3GB would be ideal for that.

Hmm, the same questions keep coming back. If your phone is rooted, you can use Titanium Backup (free version available) to backup your phone. I think MyBackup Pro (not free app) can backup non-rooted phones too.

If you don't know what 'root' means, please check the FAQs on the first page.

Other than that, I know there are some specific backup apps to backup your Web bookmarks, APNs, SMS, Call Logs - I have tried BookmarkSB, APN Backup & Restore, SMS Backup & Restore and Call Logs Backup & Restore. You can find these apps on the Android Market.

For phone contacts and calendar, you can sync them with your Google account. Go to Settings / Accounts and Sync on your phone to add your Google account and enable sync. Try it, it's fairly easy..

Easiest way to root is by downloading One Click Lagfix on Android market. The app has an option to root your phone, and unroot it.
