They havnt change the tube A & B yet.. They have to wait for the parts to arrive cos every PE also they are changing it. Its called "improvised piping" in their terms lah..
Yeap asked them.. They took the car for a test drive.. But the radio was perfectly fine..
Something to ask, did you turn on ur RDS and Traffic update on ur radio? Cause after i turned those function off, my radio didnt hang at all till now.
Nvm lah.. I bet he has the phobia of owning it.. Let Proton come out with a few more good models and then soon all of these will be at the back of everyones mind. Its just the same story like Kia and Hyundai. Initially nobody wanted to buy it cos of poor resale value, bad FC and bad quality too.. But now.. The Forte selling like hot cake.. Kuih bahulu also not that laku..  thumbup.gif

i wondering the what type of tube A and B they will replace? is it plastic type since the metal piping will cause the knocking sound. or they wrap the metal piping with plastic type?

Shud start a forum like that. The autoworld forum not so active as lowyat la.
This forum is preety organised..instead of keep repeating the same thing v8 v9 ,everything jumble up.
Like the klok klok sound problem,i c that u guys keep asking what are the part number or wats the problem..

in the autoworld forum,i search klok sound, then that topic appear, and i can c the solution trhere.

Yeah according to bro arfaie's pic, there seems to be some form of insulation or rubber along the U-bend with a metal tie-bar in the middle of the U-bend to prevent freeplay.

Just went through the manual just now. Persona oil pan capacity is 3.75L. The oil filter capacity is 0.3L. It seems logical to pouring 4L of oil into the engine, however, the the engine oil in the packaging is measured at standard room temp and manufacturers always pour slightly more oil to meet the minimum requirement of 4L net oil. Engine oil expands ~4.7% from the temp 15degree to 90degree. So assume oil expands at 4.7% x 4L=4.188L. Tadah. 188ml excess oil at standard engine operating temp. Imaging if ur foot is made of brick and weights like iron. Sure more than that.

correct..they install additional "rubber" protection along the tube to prevent it knocking..

about engine oil, i always insist the mechanic to not over pour..makes my engine lighter n better FC

Whenever they pour in 4L of engine oil, the next morning i check before starting OR few hours later after being left parked, the dipstick shows clearly that there is overfill. Several wipes and recheck confirms the overfilling. Quite a lot actually. And i had to go to the nearest workshop to have it drained or pumped out the excess. kanasai. its super bad for the engine and FC.

Campro engine so easy to rise up to 4k rpm when just slightly step on the gas pedal..

will it affect the fuel consumption?

coz if no rise up to above 3k rpm, its hard to pick up

Added on November 20, 2010, 9:41 amrecently FC really like mad,

monday pumped RM50, friday fuel warning comes up, have to pump RM50 again sad.gif

Yes defintely will affect fuel consumption. Higher RPM, higher amount of fuel burnt. However for every car there is a sweet spot of RPM vs speed.. Where the speed and rpm combined gives u the best economy. What i have tried and tested so far is 3200rpm @ 4th gear (auto box) speed 115-120km/h.. The best fuel economy i have seen in my car so far. Going at 2k rpm @4th gear speed around 80km/h is not that economical actually. As the drag is still very minimum to create a huge effect on FC..

Why i would encourage Cam-tak-pro and Campro IAFM engine users is that they maintain at least 2.8k rpm on their engine for max power vs FC ratio. This is due to the slightly higher amount of overlap between the exhaust valve closing after the intake valve starts opening and the lack of backpressure from the extractor till the downpipe, which is good for high engine RPM as the pressure of combusted air exiting will pull the fresh A/F into the chamber, inducing more richer mix of unburnt fuel into the chamber = more power. However at low engine RPM this will cause unnecessary wastage of unburnt A/F mixture due to excess unburnt A/F mixture being drawn into and out of the combustion chamber and low back pressure from the extractor side which prevents this from happening.

maintain at 3k rpm is not a problem, its just that when changing gears, even for A/T, the RPM will spark into above 3000rpm momentarily

Erm probably u need to go light on the throttle.. Anticipate the rpm where the gear changes. Then slightly lift ur foot off the throttle, u will feel the gear disengage as momentarily there will be a lack of g-force acting on you.. tongue.gif Press throttle back to regain power.. It may take some time getting used to. .But u will get the hang out of it soon... whistling.gif
