Hi guys,i am back to start with Ocing since stopped long time ago.
So i wanted to ask some recommendations...

Which 1 is the best budget & performance wise price to get and OC.

1-E6300
2-E6550
3-E4600

I am using a Gigabyte G41MT-D3 DDR3 1333 + Kingston DDRIII 1333 2GB.

In bios i set Vcore to 1.32
but in CPU-Z show 1.264V only..

why it show diff voltage? which should i follow?
according to intel website recommend voltage is 0.8500V-1.3625V

That is normal bro. This is due to actual power lost resulting from insufficiency of PSU and mobo conductivity (some percentage of electricity converted to heat loss). So often times the actual voltage will be lower than what is set on the mobo. CPU-Z would be more accurate.

Just take note that the actual voltage during idle and load will defer. Voltage during load will be lesser than during idle. you can compare it yourself under the CPU-Z readings.

Thx for your details explanation.

I also realize that voltage during load will be lesser

You must be typo there? CPU load requires more voltage than idle..
My CPU-Z shown 1.18V while idle, it increase to 1.19V while running stress apps..

hmmm wierd... i have seen this happening in my setups for the entire length of my overclocking experience since a few rigs already...

maybe yours is unique? hehe

anyways, it would be best if it does not change between idle and load. that would mean that you have a very power efficient system. like yours is even better for overclocking since more voltage during load will stabilize it tongue.gif

anyways, would need others to confirm this as well... i'm not expert... just sharing on what i know notworthy.gif

I dont know, maybe coz I enable the features(in BIOS) to prevent vdroop during load..

cool... your bios is good if it supports those kinda setting. mine is 'ancient' ole skool mobo... haha doh.gif

anyways, i have managed to push my E8400 chip to run stable at 500 x 8.0 = 4000GHz. voltage during load is 1.312v though...

RAM running at CL 5-5-5-15 @ 2.2v.

CPU cooling is on air using ThermalRight Venomous-X thumbup.gif
