YES, get a better true power PSU.
sooner or later the cap ayam PSU will eat up your system, leaving only casing for you seriously, grab a good PSU is the only choice for you now. |

QUOTE(HeLLonEarTH @ Apr 29 2009, 04:23 AM) well i hav a e8600. Managed to clock at 450x10 4.5ghz 1800 fsb air cooling with no fail. I posted it but now closed. Waiting 4 mod to put it here. The testbed was. how is your NB temp when you reach 4.5ghz.Intel core 2 duo E8600 Asus Maximus 2 formula Coolermaster gemini 2. I tried 4.6ghz but pc restart. Think temp reachd 100c cuz i set it at that point to restart. But it did run 4 a while cuz playing cod4 just after the oc. had you do the washer mod for NB yet? |

QUOTE(x-1o8-x @ Jul 20 2009, 05:56 PM) both BIOS and memset will do... for BIOS, a failed PL settings will result in unable to boot up to BIOS, then need to off on to reset settings... for memset, ur pc will just hang i always do the PL setting in bios, as doing it in memset yields me a freezed screen once.i just can't go into windows with the PL7 i set , and since memset is in the startup sequence, i only manage to go into windows when i uninstall the memset program. |

@nncl,
nicely explain. PL level affect much for mem banwidth. basically you don't need other setting, just lower the PL level will gain you the most out of your OC. |

QUOTE(billytong @ Oct 22 2010, 07:08 PM) Hi guys whats the average OC result for Qx9650 can get on a decent cooler such as Hyper 212 Plus with condition like these below. by only adjusting multi won't yield you much. 1. Adjust multiplier only. (no changing FSB) 2. Default factory Voltage. instead, combine multi + fsb +ram ratio +volt tweek is the magic here. QX9 series isn't that powerfull thou! |

casing not affect OC......consider a more powerfull psu, since Q9550 is a power hungry beast.
