Quad Core Q9300 2.5Ghz
2X2GB XMS3 DDR3 1333Mhz
CM 550W PSU
GTX260+

I wonder if using Giga mobo, theres a software call Easy Tune and my lil bro just using ET6 to OC.and no problem at all. Theres quite good setting there and got auto setting for OC.
how about ASUS? now im using low end mobo from ASUS. only can OC till 2.9Ghz. dont laugh at me man. haha.

I just need some recommendation for which motherboard is suitable for OC till i can get over 3.5Ghz?

P/S: Just saw someone siggy, he OC his Q9400 till 4Ghz, lol. I dont need SLi or USB 3.0.

Guys, I need help here. How can I make the FSB:DRAM to 1:1? Is it ok to have more than that? I mean the stability adn temperature.

Here is my rig:

CPU : Intel Pentium Dual Core E5200
CPU clockspeed : 3.0ghz
Motherboard : Asus P5Q-SE
RAM model : Kingston HyperX DDR2 800
RAM capacity : 1GB X 2
RAM speed : 399.7mhz @ 400mhz, 5-5-5-15
RAM mode : Dual channel
Cooler : Intel Stock Cooler 
Time: Still not tested with Super PI or Orthos

What's the problem is the system information show up that the proc is running at 4.16Ghz! Lol, what the heck that the processor running at that speed with 1.192 vcore? 

But I already take a screenshot using CPU-Z and now it's telling the truth, at 3.0Ghz @ 1.192. I'm just curious about the DRAM freq. How can I make it 1:1 with the proc fsb? 

cool... your bios is good if it supports those kinda setting. mine is 'ancient' ole skool mobo... haha

anyways, i have managed to push my E8400 chip to run stable at 500 x 8.0 = 4000GHz. voltage during load is 1.312v though...

RAM running at CL 5-5-5-15 @ 2.2v.

CPU cooling is on air using ThermalRight Venomous-X

no.. it didn't.. BSODed.. im a really newbie in OC.. so u suggest i shud drop how much?? i set it to auto b4..

i dunno to call it stable or not.. run prime95 for an hour.. no crash.. but the next day.. suddently BSOD when i was playing game.. dats y i lower it to 2.88Ghz..

then maybe not stable, if crash in game because of overclock.

i need some help guys, here's my specs:

Gigabyte EP45-UD3P
E5400 2.7Ghz
2 x 2GB KVR RAM
GTX 460 1GB
CM RealPower 550W
CM V6-GT

FSB=333Mhz
RAM=800Mhz (No OC).

Initially i o/c-ed it to 4Ghz and it was running fine for a few months..., but recently, when it boots up, sometimes it'll lose the OC settings and
goes back to default.

I'm not sure how to set those settings in the voltage, so i just default it in the BIOS (which was working previously). The core voltage goes to 1.4v.

Whenever it lose the setting, and i return to the BIOS, a red warning message will pop up regarding some failed OC settings on previous run.

Could it be a mobo problem? The LAN port (2 ports!) just kong out recently...i think around the same time the problem appears...not really sure though....can OC too much knock out LAN ports???

i have an e4600..i tried overclocking but somehow i'm reli noob at it so just gona stick with the normal freq..i just want to know is 200*12 is better than 240*10?
and do anyone know what is the best overclock i can get with my rig?do tell how to reach it..

Hi guys. I have a laptop HP Pavillion DV7-2170us.
It's running on dual core processor p7550.
I was wondering if the processor can be overclock. Currently I used a software called cpu Genie to make the clock speed run at 2266 constantly.
Was wondering if can overclock to higher speed? I'm a total noob in overclocking. Hope you guys can help. Or can help me over clock to a faster speed?

hi, im new to this forum.

i got myself a Asus P5Q SE PLUS mainboard. i am not new to overclocking but this problem is new to me. in the BIOS setting, there was a FSB clock speed setting. whenever i changed that to "Manual" instead of the default "Auto", i get a "overclocking failure" error message when it reboots. note that the message would appear even if i did not change the frequency. just changing the setting from "Auto" to "Manual" will result in failure and the error message.

i've tried changing everything to RAMs to graphics card. nothing works. i've tried cleaning the contacts but the board still fails. i've tried flashing the BIOS to newest version yet it failed to solve the problem. Asus forums recommended using a higher power PSU but i change from 350W to 850W yet it failed.

some background of the board. the board has a problem of it own without overclocking. whenever i want to power it up, i need to discharge the whole system before i power it up. as in unplugging the power from the wall socket, then hit the power button to discharge it. this wasn't a big problem so i ignored it. a few weeks ago, i installed a second hard disk and another problem arises. now, i dont need to discharge before i power it up. but i need to power it up twice to get it up n running. the 1st power up wouldn't do anything. the fans would spin but no POST check beep. i would have to power down by pressing the power button for a few seconds. then power it back up. this time it would power up, but after a few seconds it would shut down and restart by itself. after the auto restart, there would be the POST check beep n everything went on normal.

i couldn't warranty the board because the warranty period is over. and i can't buy another mainboard cause im still just a student. the following is the list of hardware on my rig.

Does your gigabtye mobo boot twice when it is overclocked? *means on a few sec then off again only then to boot window.

it has nothing to do with vcore it even boot twice when I OC only 100Mhz. I even up by to 1.3v for just 3.3 GHz. it even pass prime95 <--well obvious.... for 3.3 lol

E5800 is known to work a lot higher without problems.  The real problem is as long as I am overclock even by little I get to boot twice b4 I enter into window.

Can someone that have better knowledge answer me this please?
