Isn't that a notebook processor? You probably need to find a software that could detect your clock generator in order to do it on the notebook.

i've tried overclock E8400 using cpu level up "Crazy" settings on Rampage Formula. It gives 3.52ghz at 1.25v. tried run it on prime95, load temps are around 53c, but its not stable. guess its not enuf voltage. well, what r the appropriate voltage to run at 3.6ghz? what about other BIOS settings?

you should be able to hit 3.6ghz with only 1.225v~1.25v
try to test it again.
for me, 1.3v can almost reach 4ghz

Got my E8400 @ 3.6GHz with stock HSF at 1.225V.

However, when I try to push it to 450 x 9, my computer BSOD when I try to stress the memory. I've been looking around for a way to OC my KVR800s but I can't really find a definitive guide.

Can anyone here guide me to OC my E8400 to 4GHz?

Specs is as below:
Proc: Intel Core 2 Duo E8400
Mobo: Asus P5Q SE
RAMs: 2x1GB KVR800
PSU: Silverstone Strider SST-ST50F-230
HSF: Intel stock

Edit: will get better HSF if I am sure I can definitely OC it to 4GHz.
