A quick question guys! biggrin.gif

Which is technically faster to run E7400 @ 4Ghz:
1) FSB 400 x 10
2) FSB 380 x 10.5

FYI, '1)' stable at 1.41v and '2)' stable at 1.39v because obviously lower fsb, but which one edged the other one?
I'm just confuse because both has same rating of 4ghz but I researched that higher FSB yield better performance, but still... hmm.gif

So its confirmed that higher FSB is better, but the difference in voltage of 400x10 (1.41v) and 380x10.5 (1.38v) is 0.02-0.03v, so would you still consider 380 x 10.5 despite being lower in voltage compared to 400x10?
What are your opinion fellas?, and please state briefly why, for education and survey purposes tongue.gif

I recommend Asus P5QL-PRO (RM300) + Core 2 Duo E7400 (RM380)
This is the best combination I can suggest with your budget, but if you can top-up more on the budget, I highly recommend:
ASUS P5Q SE PLUS (RM330;the most affordable P45 chipset mobo) + CORE 2 DUO E7500 (RM400; very good overclocking ability budget wise)
This combo would last you up to 3 years of satisfied PC usage, so top-up your budget @ RM700.

The are also Gigabyte mobos you should consider, especially the P43 chipsets ones, if you want something else than what I recommended above nod.gif
