QUOTE(IcEMoCHa @ Apr 7 2008, 07:32 PM) but u risk damaging from overvolting ur proc... QUOTE quaddy very hot la... don't think can reach 4ghz... somemore fsb wall quite low and the voltage for that speed need to be high... from q6600 to q9450 there is a overall 10-20% increase in performance due to the large system cache...
yeah thats why we come back to this post when you said that haha. im trying to prove my point quaddies can touch 4ghz given the smaller die and what not. yes you risk overvolting you proc, but we do it for such a short while ma

haha really? sorry i guess im using a very bad comparison shucks, im wondering how an E8400 will perform under watercooling.

Not really. From my understanding the hotter the proc is the higher clocking potential it has. Only if you can control the heat well. Correct me if i'm wrong.

Guys, I'm in need of some help here. My Q6600 on stock cooling on EP35C-DS3R achieve around 48'C at idle at 65'C at load under Prime95 at stock speed. I'm thinking that it's too hot.... Is it? How can I improve the situatioN? I'm still waiting for my cpu cooler to arrive maybe in a week time.... I dun even dare to OC seeing such condition.... Is there any possiblity that I'm not mounting the stock fan correctly? I had some difficulties mounting the stock fan and I remount it after clipping it to the place.... I remove the whole stock fan and put it back... Will this be a problem? Btw I'm using Lian-Li PC007 and i had those temperatures with my side panel opened
