actually, all tablet are reserved for anyone that get bored with notebook/netbook, and want extra features integrated together..
Easy to say, they are just like an add-on to any users that have extra funds and really want to be in style playing with the tablet while sitting in KTM, LRT or waiting for bus, library, park, etc..
Don't blame the manufacturers for creating them and the price is not affordable for average person..
They try to fulfilled filthy rich people needs and show that they really will to be in the market..
Samsung, Dell, Apple, Archos are trying so hard now.. And don't be surprised if after this tablet will overshadowed smartphone if the price is equivalent between them..

Yeah..Ipad and GT is crazily overpriced.

I'm eyeing Archos new tablet now..7 inch 70 model, running 2.2 at much lower price.

Archos got no android market, its already a sign of failling

Maybe after rooted it will get one? No problem bro.. Where there's a will, there's a way..

This is not an issue as can always installed the full set of approved google apps separately - Such APK abundantly found at forum XDA

It's not that complicated to have something when dealing with an OPEN source.

I would prefer the archos screen to be slightly broader though. It looks to me that it will be more suitable for landscape mode and not so much portrait.

Actually I don't really know if we are demanding or what. What I'm looking forward to in tablet are 2 things only. Internet with full flash + video player.

Will tablet custom rom be available.... maybe XDA ???

if u are going out and onli want the pleasure of surfing the net and viewing some youtube video on the move with a greater resolution screen than ur phone and at the same time without the troublesome of bringing along a Netbook.

It can also serve as ur Portable Media Player.

actually ipad costs only about RM 1.8 according to my colleague who bought one from UK, he said singapore and HK selling around that price too.

that's the lowest spec's one. 16Gb + wifi, without 3G. With 3G can cost about 2.5k to 3k
