QUOTE(MYstombox @ Aug 28 2010, 08:50 PM) No need simcard, A-gps does not mean it is inferior to GPS alone. "Aiya"...so noob of me. Need to play with phone more. The assisted is for cellular triangulation to speed up location lock. It is actually the apps that require the data transfer, cause google maps don't store the maps in ur phone. But if you have brut mod or some other map apps with the maps stored in the phone, you don't even need any sim/data. Please understand what A-GPS means before thinking 'aiya'. lol How can you achieve cellular triangulation if you have no cell connection (via sim card)? |

USD930 for a tablet?
It is indeed expensive.... Anyway, if it is expensive in US, Don't think it will be cheap here. |

QUOTE(vckc4ever @ Sep 3 2010, 02:47 PM) If the price for the Galaxy tab is true....USD 900++, might better consider Notion Ink's Adam tablet . 10 inch and awesome features incl P.Qi..which is said to retail around USD 380-390+ for standard screen without P.Qi...or with P.Qi that comes to around 480-490+ ( which is much cheaper ). What is the Notion Ink's Adam Tablet? ANy links to share? available in Msia not? If Galaxy Tab for Msian market can come down to level of 300-500...I think it's worth to look at.. For close to 1000 bucks....I doubt i will be interested to shell out so much.. Rather wait for Asus's Tablet early next year or Google's own tablet at the end of the year.. LG is coming out with their own tablet within this year...so, we shall see which one is more competitve.. Thanks ya~ |

QUOTE(benny888 @ Sep 3 2010, 02:22 PM) I have a IPAD 3G 64GB and has been using for 3 months. From a functionality point of view, the Samsung Tab beats the iPad flat. I am using a Android phone Nexus ( Froyo) so I can more or less understand the software the Samsung Tab has. As was said before the ipad was considered a oversized ipod touch , similarly we can view the Samsung Tab as a oversized Galaxy S Thanks for the wonderful write up on iPad compare to Android devices.................................... Been wanted to know more on iPad, and your write-up really save my time. That's why this SGT really interest me, too bad still 7". I want something bigger (screen size). Thanks bro. |

QUOTE(benny888 @ Sep 10 2010, 08:25 PM) Android is not ready to be used on tablets yet, says Google's director of mobile products, Hugo Barra. At least we know why now. Thanks for sharing. Barra said Google wouldn't allow its app store on tablets because the applications wouldn't run properly on the bigger screens. "If you want Android market on that platform, the apps just wouldn't run, [Froyo] is just not designed for that form factor," says Barra. He hinted that future versions of Android will be modified to operate better on a tablet computer. http://www.techradar.com/news/phone-and-co...tablets--715550 |
