RM 2699 is based on internal Flash Storage of 16 GB or 8 gb ? With 3G ?

You mentioned not worth the price...you mean the specs, speed and quality is not that good or upto expectation for such price ?

Official released date for 7 " and 10 " might be in October in Europe..then Asia...likely in November/December.

2699 too expensive la..ipad is only RM 1800 if u get from HK / Singapore according to my friend.

That's the cheapest wifi version, 3G + wifi + decent capacity is also around that price. And also thats AP price, not sure how much it cost when launch in Malaysia

have u any idea what kinda laptop or netbook u can buy with 2699 ?

any c2d processor is faster than a 1GHz hummingbird.
any chapmuck 400m graphics chip is faster than whatever VR chip.
the tab has a small amount of space while the notebook or netbook u choose starts at a minimum of 10" and above.
battery life will be better on a netbook or a notebook.

lightweight is the only thing the netbook or notebook or laptop will lose out to the tab. for a pathetic 7" i'd rather look at my 14" notebook which only cost me 2399. and i can play warcraft 3 on it. though i only have an integrated x4100 chip for graphics its still good enough for me.

why buy a tab when you can own a super powerful notebook ? if its weight concerned, buy a netbook with no rom in it ler. i bet you can do more in the netbook than on that tab.

Hm, reading in landscape mode us actually tedious, thats why a portrait mode on tablet seems better.

Its the same with the Ipad, no different. But then again, there's some stuff u get when u use a tablet compared to a notebook:

- Touchscreen
- Fun factor
- Augmented reality
- 3G / Wifi / Phone
- Compact & Lightweight
- Bragging rights?

Pretty much that's it..the feel is different than when using a notebook, but I do agree that its just a bit too costly.

Ah......ya, the trend is towards tablet ma. Notebook is old technology. People want a phone, web surfing, games, portability, gps, emails, sms, mms, facebook, etc on the go. Now people are all very busy lah making money and the tablet will serve their needs on the go. I got an ipad but I find it cumbersome carrying it around. Personally I prefer a 5" tablet where I can put my boss in my pocket (he always disturb me with his phone call)

ipad. its apps stores are very much under control and there's still more apps flooding it. android is still playing catch up.

for an android tab, this is just too pricey. i'll wait for viewsonic's tab on froyo to arrive in my hands. and then i might reconsider.

Try to get notion ink or even archos 101, or 70. That would be a good side by side comparison.

Tab is a phone + table , Ipad only a tablet with 3G (MicroSim) data service only.
