Better wait for a newer version of 3D Vision Shutter Glasses for your laptop.

I believe there are some pixar CGI blu-ray are available in 3d like cloudy and meatball something and avatar i think.

Regardless of how... its up to user to choose JW which comes with nVidia GPU and usb 3.0 or better gpu performance on JH.

So, i can assume that none of us here actually have problems with Gentech? Things like they scam your money, bad handling or late delivery.

just bought from GenTech. They are alright, i really prefer Xoticpc's Justin, he seems very professional but I went to GenTech because the delivery is much cheaper, USD 28 vs USD 50+ for UPS 3 days ground delivery.

anyway, my model is G73JW, standard settings. RM5528 including TT fees from both banks.

The delivery fee from comgateway will most likely cost me bout 100+ USD. Will update as soon as possible.

if you have any enquiry, i recommend emailing their Sales representative directly, Ken lee from Gentech or Justin from Xoticpc. Check out notebookreview's forums for more info on ASUS as well as other brands

I have checked out other brands. Alienware could not offer the performance of a G73, and MSI, Sager doesnt have warranty support in Malaysia. Just that now, im a bit stuck on whether to get G73JH or G73JW. Decisions, decisions and decisions.

Asus seem to be the best option, as i could get warranty support internationally. At the same time, G73 offer the best performance for the least bucks. Looks sleek too. Decent temps.

The only thing i dont like is the GSOD crap, and thats all.

I guess i'll email Ken about this.

from my understanding, the GSOD issue only happens to JH models, which is the BIOS having some compatibility issues with the HD5870. But the issue is supposedly fixed for the newly shipped JHs as they use the new BIOS. If you are getting the JH, then make sure you tell Gentech to ensure that you get the latest ASUS vBIOS.

yes Comgateway uses DHL to deliver, and DHL has branches in Malaysia. If you use USPS (us postal service), they will transfer the package to our pos malaysia for local delivery.

I prefer DHL since i've used it before to buy stuff from amazon and they are reliable, and i dont really want to entrust my package to pos malaysia.

Note that if you use comgateway, you must instruct GenTech to send the package to comgateway's warehouse in oregon, they will track your package down and inform you for further delivery.

I've still yet to get that step since I'm still waiting for the payment to go through, so hopefully it's no big issue.

I'm planning to purchase a Asus G51JX real soon. But i still cant decide whether to get the one with 720qm or 820qm.

820qm cost about $300 AUD more than 720qm.

Is the significant different with those two? Worth getting the 820qm?

Really appreciate some replies.

Thanks

@Clarencerx which online shop do you use in aussie? cause if the price is the same as the US shops, i might get one when i go to aussie instead.
