QUOTE(angelchong @ Oct 3 2010, 09:38 PM) can someone explain the difference of g53 with and without the 3D performance? i dont quite understand it. 3D is just a gaming experience gimmick actually. Asus ROG will be rolling out bundled 3D glasses with laptop(G53jw,g73jw) in future batches. However, it is a warning that Playing game with nVidia 3D vision activated will reduce ur frames. As for the gpu, gtx 460m itself is just play fairly average under 3d vision, maybe in future games could be below 30 fps.

Another Review of Asus G73Jw: Review of Asus G73Jwquote from notebookcheck.net: Now, whether to choose a model with Radeon HD 5870 or with GeForce GTX 460M, is a question of personal preferences. Those looking for relatively unrestricted (gaming) performance are better off with the G73JH (HD 5870). For users that, however, want supported features like PhysX, the G73JW (GTX 460M) might be a better match.

Hmmm, seems like JH suits me more then. :/ PhysX is just a gimmick, and i would turn it off for more frame rates.

HD5870m is slightly better than GTX460m performance wise, it seems the newer drivers for GTX460m is picking up though, especially the beta drivers that reportly had a 15% increase in performance for some games.
I personally prefer the cooler JW though, i'm hate warm palm rests and this is just right.
screw it, with the 53 being delayed, i think i might bite the bullet and order the 73JW.
