guys, is the keyboard LED backlit only light up during start up? don't know why mine no more light
and how to do update the ccc to 10.8 version? i have tried to uninstall the stock version then install 10.8 but end up my graphic card cant detect and i have to restore my system

You cannot update the graphic drivers in safe mode. You can remove/clear driver files and registry in safe mode but you must restart in normal windows mode in order to install catalyst 10.8. The backlight will blink once during POST and can only be turn on after you log into windows using the Fn F3 & Fn F4 keys You must have ATK drivers installed for the backlight to work.

I prefer to have a blue keyboard backlit and red ASWD keys color.

After booting, try to press "FN" and "F4" in order to lit it up.

I would love the blue backlit keyboard but not red WASD keys. Too close to spiderman's theme color

LOL . . . Actually, ASWD keys color not really assist me in gaming though. Perhaps I'm not a hardcore gamer?

if the G53 could change colour like alienware then it would be even more awesome >=D

Seriously though, I have this notebook for almost two months now and I've logged less than 3 days worth of gaming time. I've been doing a lot of video conversion and work on it with a huge grin on my face every time

Colorful backlit keyboard is a trend but still it can't beat alienware in multi-color.

And yet the missing keystokes issues still haven't resolved till now.
