haha... that's was 3 years back. I heard some Spore HTC users highlighted that sometime the service centre there do not honour the warranty if you do not have a receipt from telcos, notepad type written receipt was rejected sometime. But for some, the HTC service personnel dun even ask for receipt, just check their system for your serial and accept the phone for repair. One thing quite sure, they dun bother whether you root your phone or not, even for some users that bricked the phone becoz of failed rooting.

I only found out that after I got mine from a handphone shop and was given a notepad type written receipt.

Yea I was a Samsung user until yesterday. Samsung's after sales was among the top in my opinion but during my 1st visit: "No receipt no warranty". lol

Purchased it 2nd hand so had to call the supplier and get a copy faxed to me asap to make the warranty claim. Good to hear they have done everything in accodring to registered serial numbers now.

Guys, wanna check if you guys encountered this. Some times, you download app from Market or go Market to do an "Update All", you get some app, downloaded but stuck, like cannot install properly. What do you do then?

Tried that. Even rebooted and try to redownload but it fails. Like my Adobe Photoshop Express, it is at 100% 1.28mb/1.28mb but just like that nia. Nothing happens.

how about restart your phone? I will do that if something hang or whatever.

NexTSense v7.0 is out

Seems like there is a common problem on Android. System cannot detect hidden SSID wireless network. Manually added the SSID still not able to connect. Been goggling around, no solution....

Question to those using Modaco custom ROMs:

I baked my own ROM yesterday but I specifically chose to include Modaco additions such as Titanium backup, Ad Free etc. However, I can't seem to find these apps in my app drawer. I assume they are in my ROM somewhere. How to locate?

@.@ what??? I just downloaded 6.0 2 days ago in anticipation of my incoming new 8GB card. Just when it is expected to arrive today v7.0 already out.

Mine no problem connecting to hidden SSID wi-fi - stock Desire 2.1 rom or NextSense 5.3 both no problem.

But I found out that if your wi-fi router is using other than Channel 6, Desire will take more time to connect, sometime dun even connect. Try change the channel at your router setting to Channel 6.

yes, my home router is set to hidden SSID with WPA2/PSK and the channel was set at 11. Then I found that my Desire can connect quite fast to other router (at office, at my brother's house, etc all using default Channel 6). But at home, the Desire can't connect to the router sometime coz it can't detect the signal. Thus, I switch to Channel 6 and the problem seems solved.

Haih, it's always like this la... I thought Modaco and LeeDroid will screw up so I download Nextsense 6.0 as back up yesterday and now 7.0 is out. The roms are changing faster than graphic card technology.

Added on August 25, 2010, 1:50 pmJust found out that the Mail widget which I tied my Hotmail account to isnt working directly from the home screen. Every time I launch, it force close. I do it the second time, the entire Sense UI will close. Sheessh!

Seems like is not .30 radio issue. I do a clean wipe and rebake my r8. Everything is fine now.

Quick question: if i already have everything else running and the Mail widget dont work, if I reflash a second time, all my data / app will still be there right? Assuming I didnt do any wipes and etc. Please ignore this post. I already did it anyway. Sadly reflash the Rom didnt help with my Mail app Force Close issue.
