I want to increase the stability of my car -

any suggested absorber n spring brands around 500-600 ? i only know proride atm, forumer selling it including installation for rm600.
*
better stability means you will lose comfort a little or more...depends on the suspension type...

i heard sapura proride (standard replacement) absorber can be matched with stock spring and it provides better stability than standard absorber while maintaining the comfort..

currently im using proride sport spring and greber performance absorber ...stiff and harsh ride..but stable when cornnering

200 - spring
450 - absorber

installation rm50, alignment and camber adjust rm38

So question to ask pro guys in blm club,

I am thinking about buying a new Proton Saga BLM 1.3(B-Line)

But I am a little bit afraid as my friends driving Proton Saga (bought in 2008). now already have a lots of problems for his accessories, and also a veri high FC for him, RM60++ for 2XXkm(auto) oni.

Is that Saga BLM Manual will have lesser problem comparing with Auto?

Some one told me that Proton Saga BLM selling after 2008, 2009 onwards will have lesser problem, is that true?

As I am thinking of buying a car for driving for 10 years time, so any comments from all members here?

Thx

then wats the final decision? viva or blm?

nabelon
u prefer lowered spring or standard? im selling sapura prorides as well. but i dun provide installations.LOL. lowered gives more stability while turning but meantime proride do not have sport abs for BLM yet.

xshiro
bro, rm200 spring price was a promo price. the price hike already due to labour and petrol cost throughout msia.LOL.

lowmiao
yes. they improved. manual should be less hassle than auto regarding their system.

wat's with the radio and alarm?

the final act for ur sis is test drive both rides with the transmission preferred. it will help in decision making too.

x_kink
not all doors locked? means the piston for the central lock not functioning.

Hey people, this morning I got my car skidded and I lost control of my car and landed into a ditch. Thank goodness I was not involved in a accident with other vehicles behind or in front or else I would be dead by now.

Now my car's left absorber, joints, and many parts damaged and it will going to costs me RM800++. Wanna ask, is there a way to repair my front alloy rims?

I believe you can. Reputable tyre shops can spray and get your rims back into shape.

Apparently yes. Not so slippery but the road were wet and curvy road. I didn't recalled turning my steering to the left and it started swerved towards the left causing me to lose control of my car and I slammed the brakes too hard and unable to bring my car to stationary and it skidded towards the ditch for a few meters. shocking.gif rclxub.gif

I had a feeling is my tyres causing it to skidded because it had no grip at all. Using stock Silverstone tyres.

Stock tyre + no ABS, BLM is very dangerous on wet road. I faced it twice before. 1st time is the motor in front me suddenly overturn, i brake and the car just skidded all the way, and stop 1m before hit the motorcyclist, really lucky for him and me as well, no car behind. sweat.gif 2nd time the car on the road side suddenly come into my lane, i brake and again no sign of stop at all, luckily stop eventually and no car behind as well. sweat.gif sweat.gif .
both case are on the straight road and only 60km/h at that time, just a wet road.

So sorry to hear that. This is my 1st time I ever skidded a car. I won't expect a Saga to skidded as I thought Saga has Lotus handling plus its relatively lower center gravity as compared to cars like Myvi and Viva. But well, I am wrong after this incident. Conclusion, better invest on proper tyres for better gripping in the event there is slippery roads or wet roads. It happen out of the sudden, my car suddenly turned to the left by itself. rclxub.gif

P/S: I was driving at 60km/h to 70km/h at that time.

If you were driving straight slowly and your car suddenly swerved, there might have been oil on the road. I still remember sitting in my friends car on the federal highway facing the usual congestion, when suddenly the car ahead to the left made a 180 degree turn. Scary shit I tell you.

your FC is for 1.3 Auto or Manual???
My friend's Saga is consuming higher and higher FC(I just share what he said)???
He said that his "New" Saga(Auto) in year 2008 can run for 300++km, but now 2010 can only for 250-280km.....
He said that it is becoz his car is ageing = =
Really????

SiuYi, something to ask you....
just to confirm, not to offend...
Is that really improved? One of my friends told me but I am not sure about that....
(Because my another friend bought saga blm in 2008 and now.... his accessories, such as radio, aircon, central lock all got problems before... >< )

Btw, any members here bought your saga blm in Year 2009? any comments to it???

Thanks....
