anneysays, my gf just bought a viva elite (more expensive than my saga blm m-line doh.gif )...seriously...no power...door is so thin...and the car is so light..space is limited...saga blm is definitly more solid and if safety is important...why not a saga...better package..

My car starting to have the noisy "lorry" sound. I guess my IAFM starting to faulty. How long will it take to replace the IAFM? I heard its a very long process of replacing it because its connected to engine bay and some valves. Was it normal for it to be faulty around 1 year plus of usage? Faulty IAFM is like the most common problem happened in a Saga.  sad.gif
*
actually ar it can be done within 1-2 hours only...if the spare part is ready stock..they can install it for ur immediately...leave ur car in the morning..then evening can take ..if there is a long queue

there is a new batch of IAFM

if after claim warranty still have tak.. tak... sound.., consider normal??
*
there is a lot of similar tak tak sound which is normal...but there is one tak tak sound...more like plastic sound with somekind of a tone...

I hope the newer batch of IAFM could last longer compared to the older batch. Even inside the cabin can hear the tak tak sound. Very annoying. Will go make an appointment with my SC one day. =(

can be heard from inside cabin.. confirm iafm...

dear siuYi, im asking dis because her salary is just rm2000/mth, so, let say if the money she can save by using viva is SIGNIFICANTLY high compared to saga, maybe she will go for viva, but then if the diff is small, so no point she choose viva. of corse saga is much2 more better car:)

so, i just wanna know roughly the FC for BLM icon_rolleyes.gif
*
auto transmission?

ron95 rm50 -
best is 300km...usually with my style of driving i get 250-280km (i dont drive slow in town tongue.gif )... city drive

highway driving can get 320-340 km..

I want to increase the stability of my car -

any suggested absorber n spring brands around 500-600 ? i only know proride atm, forumer selling it including installation for rm600.
*
better stability means you will lose comfort a little or more...depends on the suspension type...

i heard sapura proride (standard replacement) absorber can be matched with stock spring and it provides better stability than standard absorber while maintaining the comfort..

currently im using proride sport spring and greber performance absorber ...stiff and harsh ride..but stable when cornnering

200 - spring
450 - absorber

installation rm50, alignment and camber adjust rm38

Hey people, this morning I got my car skidded and I lost control of my car and landed into a ditch. Thank goodness I was not involved in a accident with other vehicles behind or in front or else I would be dead by now.

Now my car's left absorber, joints, and many parts damaged and it will going to costs me RM800++. Wanna ask, is there a way to repair my front alloy rims?
*

Well, I hope so. The scracth was so deep because it skidded to the ditch for a few meters before I managed to stop it. Scary indeed.  shocking.gif

Added on September 8, 2010, 11:00 pm

Apparently yes. Not so slippery but the road were wet and curvy road. I didn't recalled turning my steering to the left and it started swerved towards the left causing me to lose control of my car and I slammed the brakes too hard and unable to bring my car to stationary and it skidded towards the ditch for a few meters.  shocking.gif  rclxub.gif

I had a feeling is my tyres causing it to skidded because it had no grip at all. Using stock Silverstone tyres.
*
lucky u are ok and ur engine is ok and car still repairable

stock tyre...and i someone told me before..dun brake hard when skidded..try use lower gear instead...

well i got into ditch before..yeah scary...i understand the feeling sweat.gif

about the rim, i think u can get used stock rim...at wheel shop...u can try at kedai papan, kapar klang

Anyone experience engine going dead while driving?  Had this a few times, the Proton ppl send the mobile unit 2 times and checked at SC 2 times.  They said a component at the floorboard(changed a used one, no spares) then checked wiring at SC but no problem found.  Next they say have to check the computer board.  They said takes along time to check.  No problem so far, although they didnt change anything.  A
Anyone had their comp. unit changed?

QUOTE(NicJolin @ Sep 20 2010, 04:41 PM)
Guys, I've had this car for 5 weeks

Millage is at 3800km and is suffering a lot from unable to start the car

Whenever I plug in the key, turn it there's normal engine starting sound then it dies off. Then I try to turn it again, no response at all, though I could hear some sharp electronic sound.

Then I have to unplug it, wait for a min or two, try it again and repeat the process tills it comes to live, oh I did not mention that I have to push the acceleration peddle so only it could start. I've sent to check twice and they say no problem mad.gif but it is quite obvious there is a problem and it's giving me headache everyday

Any idea what's wrong so the next time I send to check I could at least tell them to check at specific areas?

Thanks
*
pity you.. hmm.gif obviously got problem...dont know why sc technician cant figure it out
