Hey people, this morning I got my car skidded and I lost control of my car and landed into a ditch. Thank goodness I was not involved in a accident with other vehicles behind or in front or else I would be dead by now.

Now my car's left absorber, joints, and many parts damaged and it will going to costs me RM800++. Wanna ask, is there a way to repair my front alloy rims?
*
I believe you can. Reputable tyre shops can spray and get your rims back into shape.

Hi guys, I just realised that my right side fog lamp bulb just died. Is it covered under warranty? My car is only 4 months old. Isn't that a little fast? sweat.gif

Anyone of u having problem with the head rest? For some reason I dont feel comfartable at all using the standard head rest for saga blm se. It makes my neck hurt. Where to find a good replacement for this. Or anybody is selling different head rest for saga blm?  Im noob in car accessories.
*
I noticed that the SE's seats and headrests are harder compared to normal sagas, probably using harder cushion padding. My solution, raise your headrest higher until your neck feels more comfortable, after awhile you wont even notice the awkward position anymore.

Yup, i usually hear rattles when the road is uneven and when your turn up the music quite loud. Rattling from the front doors and the centre console area.

Will soundproofing help to reduce these? I can live with it, but its annoying at times.

anyway i noticed the rear boot is quite hard to close..need to slam it quite hard to make it shut tight...is it normal?
*
Definitely not normal. laugh.gif

My ex's saga used to have that problem after some fella bang her car's butt. Just a visit to the SC will solve it, they'll just make some adjustments to make it able to be closed normally again.

did anyone tried like leaving their car not driven for few days? I have difficulty starting the car if i left it not started too long.. the engine will start n die, I thought they have something that keeps the rpm at 1k?
*
I left my car once idle for 2 weeks, coz I went back to my hometown. The engine could start just like normal after that.. You should get you car a check up, definitely something's not right.

Was wondering, I'm gonna do my 5k service soon. Does the proton SC provide any better or lighter engine oil than the syntium 800? The syntium feels so heavy, compared to my friend's BLM, his also auto, 25k mileage but using shell oil. hmm.gif

The LED lighting is cun. But the smaller size is not-so cun.. It does look a little awkward. Maybe need to see it in flesh first. biggrin.gif

You can also use road tar remover sold at hypermarkets and hardware shops next time. Its safer for the paint. smile.gif

ic ic...then is not really tat bad for city drive....eh..i thought at proton website it is 6.3 for highway???hmm...
*
I guess you need to drive at a constant 90kmh to achieve that. And its just a manufacturer claim.. I drove at an average of 100-110kmh on the highways, 120 if i need to overtake. On the highways, the fuel consumption is better. If full city drives, it can go up to 10l/100km.. sweat.gif

just wanna as..how to install saga blm fg light? and where to get them? mine is the one without the fog light. tq.
*
I saw a few sellers in mudah.my selling the oem brackets and fog lights. You probably need to cut a portion of the fog light area to fit in the bracket, and then install the fog lights. Car accessories shops could install it for you, i guess. smile.gif

guys i wana ask you guys for opinion.
today went to the federal building penang to get my gf's ic done.
after getting everything done i got to my car to find it scratched from the start of the front door all the way to the boot!
i managed to clean from the back door to the boot by using turtle wax scratch remover. but the front door, is not doing very good.

i can feel the scratch but, it seems like it gone through the first layer of coat the clear nothing wan as the color is still intact. but, the scratch is still darn visible and after polishing for very long time, it din do any good. hmm guys, what shud i do?
*
That's painful man.. sad.gif

Try doing a compound polish? But since the scratches are deep i doubt it'll do any good. You either have to live with it (with a heartache), or you can try doing those paint touchups if you have good DIY skills.

My bro's car was once scratched upside down with a key when he parked in a public place overnight, and since the scratches was so deep (until exposing the metal), he had to respray his whole car. $$$ flew away.. sweat.gif

If not it should be the M-line/Executive.

Same thing i'm facing here. I just pumped full tank(from 2 bars) for RM55.20, and the car only travelled 214km, before hitting the 2 bar petrol mark. Why is this so, shouldn't i be getting like at least 400km? Since its like 13km++/l claimed by some people?
*
Our campro engines are thirsty engines, gearshifts needed to be done with the correct RPM, and a light foot is needed in order to achieve better FC. Mine auto, on average normal usage I get 320km for RM50. Full highway drive under the speed limit I get 413kms on a full tank, my record. laugh.gif

Your FC is damn good, man!! You always keep under 3k?

In city drives, yeah. Highways, sometimes I exceed 3k. I'm used being a light footer even when I was driving my previous ride. My friends even say I drive like a tortoise. tongue.gif

QUOTE(max_cjs0101 @ Jan 26 2011, 02:35 PM)
What engine oil rating do most of you guys use?
Im currently using Nasa 10W-40 but from what i've read some said 10W-40 is considered thich and many would opt for 10W-30. But from what i think, 10W-30 is a little thin.
So?
*
10W-40 would be fine. I guess the 10W-30 is more suited for smaller engines, like in the kelisa. But then, you never know unless you try. smile.gif

My SC does not allow bringing in your engine oil, and they only provide petronas oils. The 15W-50 syntium seems so thick and heavy. But what to do, I have to retain the warranty for a little while for peace of mind.. sweat.gif
