After 2 days i turn back to safari, this atomic have lot of features and setting, but it also hv some bugs. You cannot directly watch any shared video on facebook site, typing with onscreen keyboard then change ur ipad orientation will make ur keyboard disapear and won't come back unlees u restart a browser. Scroll arond the page not really smooth as safari.

Yup the ipad must be registered it UDID with apple in order to upgrade to 4.2 beta. Now just released new 4.2 beta 2, fixing some bugs from previous beta version. To get ur ipad UDID registered with apple as developer unit, there have some sites offer this registration with some fee, normally less than $6. So once ur UDID recognized as developer unit you can download the latest firmware and update it through itunes as usual.

I am thinking to get an Ipad soon. But I am kinda worried about the rampant cases of pixel problems (dead and stuck) like that of Iphone. Any kind souls care to let me know if you do experience this problem? I have OCD over screen problems, even just that one dot!

With iPad Safari i have the same problem im facing with Mac Safari that is the browser does not support for GSC EPayment when i want to pay for movies ticket online. On Mac i use firefox to overcome this. I googled and found out there is no firefox for iPad currently, or maybe never. Any idea which browser to use on iPad that support GSC online ePayment?

really? but when using atomic web browser now, when i change to another tab, the youtube video can still run simultaneously.

No issue on my version, it disappears but it still comes back with a touch. I use this post to try out.

I did try on Facebook embedded video (hot linked from Youtube), it won't work.
But if on Youtube site, it works.

By the way, guys this may sound stupid to you all but I'm a new user of iPad, how do we actually highlight a few sentences to cut/copy it? So far I found it's "Select All" but I only want a partial only, how?

press ur finger on the sentence and one kanta pembesar sign will appear. then you can drag the corner to highlight the sentence or word that u wanna copy.

Oh oh, I saw the kanta pembesar came out, I thought it was to magnify on the words. Will try it out later.

As we all know ... ipad wifi reception is kinda weak ...
Is it possible to connect another USB wifi device to boost it ? Doubt it can recognize the driver lol

@giovanni: Are you sure there are rampant cases of "dead pixels" on the iPhone 4? I've been surfing the iPhone 4 threads in the "iPhone-section" of LYN but I don't notice many people encountering issues with "dead pixels". AFAIK, there is only 1 user experiencing a-single-"dead pixel" on his iPhone 4 from Maxis.

I also haven't heard of anyone from LYN-forum encountering "dead pixles" on their iPad.You should just check your device (iPhone/iPad) for "dead pixels", during your purchase. I hope you understand.

Added on September 30, 2010, 9:41 am@ahhann: The iPad is running on 802.11N-Wireless. If your router is also 802.11N-Wireless, then you should be experiencing good wireless signals unless there are a lot of walls/concrete walls. Just my 2 cents.

1. You have to use itunes to remove videos you have added to VLC
2. If you get a black screen you are probably using iOS version 3.1 beta 1 which is not supported yet.
3. Some movie formats are not recognized by the application for this first version but should be added in the next released. For now just rename your files to .avi.
4. To add subtitles to a movie, the name of the subtitle file has to match the name of the movie.

Atomic Browser : Video ( non youtube) will played on facebook site while youtube will play in a new window. KEyboard - I never have such issue. Keyboard always stay , will not dissapear. My unit is on fw 3.2.1

Mine click on video it just open new page, click on title link it open page with this error "The page you requested was not found." btw u identify ur browser as what?

just watch the video about Holotoys...it is so awesome, it makes me want go back search some *ahem photos and make it 3d.

BTW, previous version of Flipboard can't watch youtube embedded in Facebook.

The Multitasking if available will not be truely full multitasking ; it will be same as iPhone 4 limited to apps that can support it only
