QUOTE(Mackiddo @ Sep 17 2010, 03:14 PM) I can order iPhone/iPad whichever set you want. add SGD50 on top of retail price, deliver to anywhere in Sg. btw there's NO guarantee you'll get a set from apple premium reseller when you came down to Sg. thanks but i've gotta fren coming to merehsia next week with an extra set Added on September 17, 2010, 3:22 pm QUOTE(bidfordun @ Sep 17 2010, 02:18 AM) yeah, u can use it wif sim card here. singapore ipad is unlocked version. u dont have to jailbreak it in order to use micro sim to online. great ! imma noob in jailbreaking, but i hear you can do all kinda stuff with the iphone once you've jailbreaked it, but i prefer to be on the safe side. i think u can get it from apple reseller in singapore, epic center or other resellers depending on its availability of course This post has been edited by Amanda99: Sep 17 2010, 03:22 PM |

QUOTE(weiyap_tan @ Sep 23 2010, 08:00 PM) actually ipad boot quite fast..around 13 to 15 seconds..so it doesn't matter if u dun mind waiting for that few seconds. but thse who use email push service, u can't have ur email arrived immediately in the diddle of the night loh..just depends whether u r those typoe of ppl who have to respond to their email even when they r sleeeping ...haha the ipad is for personal use only....got the bberry for the work related stuff, and yes, i wake up in the middle of the nite and answer emails half asleep my only concern is the frequent rebooting is gonna wreck my ipad, but that's just the paranoid me |

after weeks on ipad, imma finding it difficult as i can't multitask at all.....
how many of you ppl actually have jb'd your devices and is it really worth the trouble? imma thinking of waiting till they release the update for the OS which claims to solve the multitask prob, but then again, may consider just jb-ing the device soon. |

QUOTE(TechnoDude94 @ Sep 29 2010, 10:20 PM) @Amanda99: The iOS 4.2 with "Multitasking" for iPad is coming out on November. I recommend that you just wait another month for official multitasking. Besides, if you're on iOS 3.2.2, you can't jailbreak. hmm....looks like imma havta wait then...hopefully apple get it right this time.... just can't stand having to close my youtube whenever i want to check my mail or do something else with my ipad..... |

how many of you guys actually do your banking, etc on your ipad...
i'm curious here as to the security. was paying some bills at starbucks, my fren caught me doing it, and advised not to do these kinda transactions....something about ppl sniffing your passwords etc. not that i am concerned as i have TAC and all that, but still, the question remains, how safe are these passwords (emails, banking etc) when we are in a wifi situation? Are laptops PCs on windows more vulnerable than Ipads on iOS? Or does it make a difference at all? just a lazy friday question This post has been edited by Amanda99: Oct 8 2010, 10:07 PM |

QUOTE(lhongwuh @ Oct 9 2010, 02:29 AM) As long as it's https site, the encryption is the same regardless of laptop/ipad with different OS. guess i'd better pay bills at home then Of course, internet banking at public places always have it's risk, u're under cctv surveillance and if someone bad is watching the video, your password can be easily obtained. |

QUOTE(dannygeni @ Oct 10 2010, 11:25 PM) was trying to sync my ipad last 2 days..it took ages...after 3 hours, it goes 1/4 only. am using 16GB ipad. u guys had this problem? i have this problem too! It's always the slowest for Step 1: Backing Up.... but the rest of the steps seems fast. Is there an option to prevent back-up each time when synching? I tot syncing is backup? I don't have much stuff in my ipad, i think less than 5G of stuff, so it shouldn't take this long? |

QUOTE(bidfordun @ Oct 11 2010, 09:15 PM) i have just figured out a no brainer solution, just click the x button when it is step 1 which is preparing to back up and while it will state ur ipad is being disconnected later, u will still manage to transfer all the songs into ur ipad. i tried the "no-brainer" solution b4, but am not sure what happens when my ipad gets corrupted and i need to perform a restore. remember to back up ur date once in a while though. In the event i don't have a backup, the only thing i can do is perform a sync, does that work to restore everything, since basically a sync transfers everything across just the same.....Apple has a different definition of "backup"? |

hi noobie question again
the size of my sync folder is getting superbly large....so i was thinking of moving the sync and backup to a portable drive if possible so my pc have more space for work stuff how do you go about moving the sync folder to a portable? Do you need to move the existing sync files in your pc first? Or you can choose to do a new one and redirect the sync to a portable storage drive? don't wanna corrupt my syncs..... |

QUOTE(benny888 @ Nov 23 2010, 01:24 AM) If you have been regularly backing up then is no issue. If not, backup first. Update will remove the JB and ALL Cydia apps will be lost - you need to JB again to reinstall such apps if it's not JB'd, can i just sync instead of backup again, cause backups takes forever. will that work just as well? |
