Hey guys, may I know when do you charge your iPad?
I only charge mine after the 20% notification pops-up, is that right or wrong?
Thanks in advance.

@doctorpopcorn: Thanks for your reply. When you say "a full discharge" do you mean to let the battery drain until 0% and charge it back to full?

@Agito666: By default you can't transfer files from your phone to iPad because it doesn't support the OBEX File Transfer Protocol. However, there are ways/methods to go about (but I'm not sure how). I think Uncle Google is your best bet.

@podrunner:
VPNs meaning Virtual Private Networks, can encrypt and tunnel all Internet traffic to your machine. The iPad VPN supporting the L2TP, PPTP, or Cisco IPSec VPN protocols, can help you access private information through public network securely. To use VPN on iPad, you need to configure VPN first. Here is the tip on how to setup. Configure VPN: Tap Settings > General > Network > VPN > Add VPN Configuration. Then use the VPN settings for your device. * Server = your computer's external IP or hostname. * Account = your account login * RSA SecurID = OFF * Password = your account password * Secret = computer's secret, chosen during set-up. * Send all traffic = ON Turn VPN on or off If you have created a VPN configuration, you would find the option to turn VPN on or off in the Settings. First disable Wi-Fi on iPad, then start VPN in the settings. Wait until it finishes connecting and the status bar would has the VPN icon. Note: iPad will drop VPN whenever changing the networks. @Agito666 & bimmer: You should be able to use your included iPad charger to charge your iPhone/iPod. Btw, I'm currently using the included iPad charger to charge my other iOS devices.

@dinodog_Jr: Safari fails to load Flash-based videos because the iPad doesn't support Flash-based videos. However, it supports YouTube videos because they are encoded in HTML5. Give it (Apple) some time, I read somewhere that a developer submitted an app that allows flash support on the iPad (without being JB-ed), can't find the source/link though. I think it's called "Skyfire".

@Agito666: Try and use Videora, it's for Macs.
There is an option for you to convert into iPad-compatible format. Once converted, add it into your iTunes and synchronize with your iPad. Hope I've helped. |

FaceTime Equipped iPad 2 to Launch this Holiday Season – Report.
Apple Insider has received information from a “person with proven knowledge of Apple’s future product plans” that Apple will soon be introducing FaceTime/video-chat capable iPads. How soon exactly? Well, according to the “person with proven knowledge”, no later than the first quarter of 2011!, and it makes sense cause that is the time when Apple introduced first-gen iPad early this year. The person also claims that there was an ambitious push inside Apple to refresh the launch ahead of the year’s holiday shopping season. I think I'ma have to upgrade to the 64GB iPad 2 if it cones out.
Got only a few GBs of free space available on this 16GB iPad. |

I hope they increase the amount of RAM from 256MB to 512MB in the iPad 2.
With tweaks/mods (Winterboard), 256MB of RAM isn't very sufficient. I install a lot of apps and games which are about 200 - 300MB each. |

@mrhenree: Yes, I have experienced crashing out to the home screen when I mod.
That is why I'd prefer to have more RAM available. |

@howtodo: Yeap, I agree with you. Maybe an even faster processor from Qualcomm like a 1.2/1.5GHz processor in dual-core or quad-core configuration. Oh well, maybe I'm just hoping for too much.

@pingupink: You need a travel adapter and plug your iPad's adapter into the travel adapter.

@nickygin: It's best to get the biggest capacity available (if you can afford it). Better to have the space available than be forced to change your iPad because there's a lack of space. I'd definitely recommend the 64GB!
@doctorpopcorn: I experienced this when my router was 802.11g. I changed my router to 802.11n (300Mbps) and now I'm able to stream videos from my MacBook to my iPad through the N-Router without lag. |

@HW-Racer: Nope, we can't plug the broadband USB modem to the iPad because it doesn't have a USB port.

@HW-Racer: I connect to the internet through Wi-Fi (mine is a Wi-Fi only model).
I would normally bring my MacBook with me when I go back to hometown and plug my Maxis USB Broadband Dongle (Huawei E1772) to my MacBook and enable "Internet Sharing" through Wi-Fi. No, the iPad can't be used to make phone calls (like a normal cellphone), however, there is Skype! @zhou86: If you're gonna watch videos on the iPad that you sync to it, I doubt 16GB is gonna be sufficient. If you're a gamer, you might game A LOT on the iPad because of it's portability even though you have a PS3. No, multitasking is not available yet but it's confirmed to be available when the latest firmware is released. |

@shadowblack: You can't plug your thumbdrive/pendrive into your iPad due to the lack of a USB-port.
@whomizzz: I haven't tried QuickOffice but I'm using it on my iPT 1G and it works great. Haven't tried Documents To Go so I can't give a comparison. @zhou86: I'm not sure about Blackberry but for Android-based phones. There is an option to enablethe phone to become a "Wi-Fi hotspot" and you can connect your iPad to your Android-based phone via Wi-Fi and utilize the Android-based phone as a modem. |

@ ff8ong: I think that to lock the orientation of the screen at iOS 4.2, it would be done by double-clicking the home button and sliding the bar at the bottom to the right until the screen orientation lock button like in iOS4 for the iPod Touch and iPhone.

@fhfoomelaka: I do have the problem when I'm loading many tabs or when I load webpages with a lot of images, the browser (Safari) will automatically close and return to the "Homescreen" due to the lack of RAM.
@Amanda99: You can use the 3G + Wi-Fi iPad that you bought from Singapore in Malaysia without any jailbreaking/unlocking because they're not tied to any telco. Just buy the iPad (3G + Wi-Fi) from Singapore and plug-in your Maxis/Digi/Celcom Micro-SIM and you're ready to surf (provided you've got a data plan). |
