Well, most of the office apps for iPad is paid apps...official apple apps for the iPad are Keynote, Pages and Numbers...there are others like documents to go etc...

Regarding just to view office files or PDF...there are a few apps you can try...CloudReader for .PDF and USB Disk for .PDF and office files...

Haha about caps...normally i will HOLD THE CAPS BUTTON and type normally...

What im hoping for in the iOS 4.2 is the ability for iPhone to tether with wifi iPad. You can tether ur iPhone with a Mac but why not with an iPad? Ofcourse other solution such as jailbreaking ur iPhone and install MyWi but im not a jailbreak fan anymore. The pain of unable to update ur iOS device each time new update is available just beat me away. The reason i chose wifi only iPad is because i dont think i need more than one data plan, from the one on my iPhone.

Really hoping for iPhone - iPad bluetooth internet tethering possible in iOS 4.2. What say u guys?

If you want to only view ms office files...USB disk will do. But to edit them, the best is still pages (for ms word), numbers (excel) and keynote (ms PowerPoint). There are official apple apps and you can open ms office files and edit them, or create new and export them as ms office files...they costs usd9.99 each. You can also try good reader or documents to go...

About OS4.2, it has been announced but only officially releasing on nov later this year...

dont think u can use pendrive on ipad. sd card shud be possible with the camera kit.

If you want to transfer photos from your camera to your iPad, you an use the camera connector kit, which you have to buy seperately...

iPad don't have USB port or sd card slot so you cant connect your thumb drive to your iPad or insert a sd card inside...

Yes, that's the last resort to buy an extra SD card.

I know the lacking of USB port and SD card slot, that's why I have bought one. The USB port is only meant to connect camera right?

I'm eager to know too..got myself an OEM camera connection kit(cheap ) and would like to know the workaround to use pendrive on the iPad.

but then, i still can't surf the web.
what are the settings i need to change?

u shud be able to surf right after that...

which surf faster?

1) a 3G enabled Ipad ( meaning utilise a data sim to surf)

or

2) a Wifi only ipad via a WiFi router or MiFi

got setting >cellcular data > key your APN setting those stuff... your APN setting should be listed in celcom's website.

depends on which connection of urs is faster.

MiFi will still dpeend on the speed of the 3G network u r using... =)
