I am now on JG8, JG4 gave me some problems, it was much choppier than JM5, thus I flashed JG8 and have been using it for the past few weeks.

How is the hardness of the cover? Some very hard plastic case seems to scratch the chrome when you put it on

I'm still deciding on my first Android and SGS deeply caught my attention.

Problem is, I was let down by the lack of flash for the camera and the so-called GPS problem.

How do you guys cope with low light or night shot?

Is the GPS problem happens even with official FW?

How about quality apps? Is the numbers satisfactory?

Even a camera with flash for low light or night shots won't really give much satisfactory results.

No problems with GPS, I think people get over worked over what the guys in the US are experiencing. Cause from day 1 GPS wasn't an issue to me.

Apps wise, very satisfied.

Minimal lights are not exactly a problem, its quite nice for a phone without flash:

Interesting. I agree that a simple flash on phone doesn't really helps. A xenon or LED might give different result.

I'm eager to know more about the Market. Do you guys really satisfied with the type of apps available? I check the Market website and found out that very small number of apps that interest me. But the site even stated that there are more in the phone's market itself. So I might haven't seen all?

My last concern will be this being samsung, I fear the resell value will drops like hell. My current Omnia doesn't have a chance against the like of HTC. HD2 for example has been released for about a year and still going strong. a nice RM800 margin difference between them

The SGS cam does pretty well under low light conditions. It only fails in 'no light' conditions.

Apps-wise, I am satisfied. I don't do gaming much so I prefer productivity tools more than games. The Android Market is quite hard to navigate from the computer web browser, so I normally go to AppBrain to find stuff and push install to my phone.

Lastly, resale value is not big concern for me. I don't buy phones worrying about resale values - I read reviews, I decide if the phone is suitable for me (features and price-wise) and I buy.

Samsung provides the camera for iPhone 4, so you know the quality of SGS won't be bad either.
