Kindly also PM me price and pix if u have any.

Btw those brake pedals u posted earlier, u selling them as well?
*
Not selling them yet, currently they are stored in my in-laws place. The tyre shop wrapped them up nicely for me so it will still be brand new.

Wait until I send my car in for the 1st service which will be in less than 2 weeks time.

If you want the brake pedals, I can pass you the contact who brings them in.

hmm guess i was lucky .. was hunting for a car late last year.. placed booking on a scirocco in august last year.. but had problems with shipment of the car.. booked another car elsewhere .. and 2 weeks ago SA from VW called and told me he had a back-out buyer for a graphite blue GTI .. got it within 4 days.. very very happy now. no regrets.

overall good service at Jalan Ampang VW showroom if you ask me. met some rude SA's at other branches but won't name them here.

But I doubt your VW wheels will fit a Proton. What's your PCD, and how many holes?

The aluminium pedals alone are RM520 without installation.
Just curious though, do you install by swapping the pedals or by sticking on top of the existing pedal and screw it in?

If I am not mistaken, the accelerator pedal will have to be replaced as the parts in the picture shows the entire accelerator pedal. So it's not a simple stick on.

Have been tested-drive the Golf before, the performance is fantastic, just the interior space is small.

Yeah it's one of the major drawback, its back row space is even smaller than my Vios.. I think it's hard to squeeze in 3 peoples at the back

yes, but that's for the 1.4litre TSI used in the polo, golf's safe
for 100k km, should be about 8k-9k, i didnt bother asking about the price, cuz it will take me aeons to reach there, and by the 5th year, warranty habis, i'll service it outside already
you're wrong
for eg:
the Aisin 6speed auto used in certain VW's uses Aisin's own ATF, costs RM112/litre, overall replacement of ATF costs RM1.2k(include other parts also)
their own DSG fluid costs RM9x/litre, overall replacement costs? RM650 laugh.gif

previously the TSI engine used in the older GTis burns engine oil to function well, a hard driven GTi requires 1litre of engine oil top up every 3k km or so(each litre costs RM68 tongue.gif and THAT cannot be purchased outside, it's a specially formulated castrol for VW cars, and if they found out that you uses non-castrol engine oil? *poof* goes your engine warranty laugh.gif )

new one im not very sure smile.gif

Yes there are, the Volkswagen club has a few recommended ones in Sunway and PJ that provide services for VW cars

true but these days I find that almost every car can't comfortably seat 3 people at the back, especially for long distance driving sad.gif
tested it in a BMW 3 series, an Alfa Romeo, tested it in a Merc (can't remember which model), tested it in a Honda, Toyota, etc

I think it's made in such a way that if you want to ferry 5 people or more, you gotta buy a MPV or SUV doh.gif it's like we're being played by the car industry

Yeah, i remember back in the UK, we had to be cautious especially with the number of people sitting behind. I know a Ford Focus couldn't have more than 2 people behind due to some safety regulations and I remember the ticket I had to pay when I had 3 people at the back of my rented Nissan Sentra.

These days manufacturers are coming out with coupes that only have two seats at the back (Merc CLS, VW Passat CC etc). Either cars are getting smaller, or ppl are getting larger lol...

My car is in Malaysia already. But there's a public holiday in the middle of the week. So, I might only be able to collect my car next week..... but nevermind lah.. since I've waited so long for it already, another week wouldn't matter.
