A simple Stage 1 APR should be able to give you that satisfaction tongue.gif

and after boring with that power, go to stage 2 pulak...and so on.. tongue.gif

QUOTE(gladfly @ Feb 7 2011, 02:47 PM)
haha...and void the warranty.. tongue.gif

But to digress..I've read some alarming post on some issues on the twincharger engine..seems like some problems with lost compressions in cylinders. Usually happens after 20k milage. If so..stage 1 APR is a real no no then..

that link that you gave me seriously made me think twice now sweat.gif sweat.gif
hopefully the problems has been rectified with our 2009/2010 model. if not..habis doh.gif

On a separate note, any of you VW owners has/going/planning to install the Dynaudio sound system? I heard numbers of opinion which is mixed up. For those who has this inside your care, care to shed some light into it? or better, can let me audition your car? blush.gif

Stage 2 is not available for the Golf 1.4 TSI but I have read mods done on the Golf in Germany and they are able to bring the car to 300bhp but that is more for the manual one as the 7speed DSG gearbox can't withstand that amount of power.

Problem about installing Dynaudio here is that the warranty will be voided. That means anything that is electronically powered in the car will have it's warranty voided.

But I thought you can have the Dynaudios as factory kitted as well.
Our singapore boys have the option where they can pay extra for it...right.
Just wondering if anyone thinking of dumping the Dyna. As far as I know the Passat CC comes standard with Dynas.

Hahaha unfortunately here in Malaysia we are sort of in the losing end sad.gif

Elsewhere getting a ABT stage 1 or a APR stage 1 with their products will NOT void the warranty. Only here in Malaysia, any added mods would be warranty voidable.

Heck in SG, their normal Golf TSI can come with leather seat options, electric seats, Adaptive chasis control. Over here, we get the losing end sad.gif

Volkswagen Malaysia don't want u to have sleepless nights deciding on what options you want with your Golf. That's why they've decided for you. rclxms.gif Now they've even decided that you don't need to think about the light n sound package.... because they wanna make it standard as well... so no need to think about options. Just think about how to pay for them enough lor.... brows.gif

I seriously doubt they will bring in a recon GTi. hmm.gif I think it is just not very cost effective to do so. The GTi is essentially a 'cheap' car, so how much cheaper do u think they can put it as a recon car? Even a 2nd hand 3-4yr old GTi only cost around 160-170k. A recon (also 2nd hand lah) should be cheaper than that to justify purchasing it. So after adding in the shipping fee, AP and stuff.... the importer got not much to profit lah.
