No lah.... expecting to start a small family soon, so thought a small suv would be more suitable. Something like the Tiguan or XC60.

Tiguan over the XC90 with it's park assist! But I think the Tiguan is slightly smaller than the XC60.

Yeah, Tiguan is definitely not very spacious. Based on the same platform as the Golf lah. The XC60 is nice, but it costs more and is locally assembled. No long-long warranty like the VW but it has many more safety features compared to the Tiguan. And the trunk is also bigger. Sigh.. but I just 'wet-my-hair' with the new Golf GTi. How to buy new SUV?! doh.gif

i've seen a used one for rm139k
you have a family and also fetch people at the back?
why? the car looks too normal or something? some rims could do the jobĀ  tongue.gif
indeed, hard to explain to others about what is special about the gti/golf in generalĀ  doh.gif
when i say to others i drive volkswagen they think i'm driving the beetle
and when i park the golf in front of them they still finding where's the VW? oh this one is vw?

another choice for the price range is new alfa romeo giuletta 1.4 turbo, price and power both around golf 1.4. cheaper than scirocco.

Hi anyone own Golf 1.4 TSI here? Can u give any comment on this car, pro and cons? My shortlisted cars are 1. VW Golf 1.4TSI; 2. Proton Inspira Premium; 3. Honda Accord 2.0. Listed according to most favourite.

Rocs? Which car? Can u specifiy?

Haha..I also same boat like u previously ...but had different cars in mind. Mine was a S40, 2nd hand 325 E90 and the Golf.
Golf cheapest so I chose it. hahaha..not really ...in terms of value for money Golf ..best of the lot. TSI and DSG...best!!

Other cars ahh...
I have a Mazda 3 2.0 for my misus..nice car..but abit small..but fun to drive. Can check that out...or go for the MPS la...I would have if not for the manual only gears!!!!!!!.

The Alfa mentioned above got good reviews but not seen real car. Also in malaysia SC is suspect since its Alfa... sweat.gif and dot think its out in Malaysia. But kalau ada chance test drive..go do it...Alfa yo...pure class! notworthy.gif

Yeah..its 16 inch 205/55. Funny thing is that you get different tyres with different batches and colours. Some you get Dunlops SP sports some you get Bridgestones ER300..dont ask me why..

Yeah it depends on the dealership. From Wearnes I managed to get the Bridgestones but even then different batches might get the Dunlops SP.

your choice is too wide ler bro, its almost RM65k diffrence between the 1.4 golf and the 2.0 inspira. I would buy the Inspira and put the 65k down on a Polo smile.gif 2 cars rather then just 1 golf TSI. Consider the Focus TDCI as well, which is 30k less then the 1.4 golf

Never actually thought of the Escape. hmm.gif It is indeed very large. This CNY thought of another project. So the SUV/MPV project is on hold first. thumbup.gif
