Get the VW Scirocco. It's a very fast car with extremely superb handling. "Aiya its two door only." - Seriously? Sure, it's a little bit leceh when unloading the rear passengers, but definitely worth it. The rear seats accommodate 2 adults nicely. My family drove it to Singapore, fits three adults and 2 kids nicely haha. 2 parents in front, me and my 2 siblings at the back.

Takes you to Singapore in 1 hour and 40 minutes (roughly). Speeds at 180-210km/h average on right lane, no cars (6am in the morning) on a regular weekend.

are you talking about the 2.0TSI engine? well basically the golf with similar engine also can do what scirocco can do. but most people see golf gti like a normal car. scirocco will turn everybody's head

yes on these cars cruising 180-210 is easy tongue.gif

polo smaller than jazz tongue.gif but other than that polo's better

The new polo is same size as jazz, take a look at the specs... Polo slightly longer and shorter, jazz slightly wider... All few cm only therefore almost same size thumbup.gif

but polo comes with turbo, 6 airbags, 7 speed dual clutch, full leather... jazz? tongue.gif

don't think it would add too much weights on that... quick calc: it is less than 5% of the loan, so if you add 5% to the repayment, it is probably about 70 ringgit (totalling about 1.5k)... not as bad as 1.9k a month for the repayment.

The polo 1.2 makes a more reasonable purchase compared to the nonsense pricey honda jazz. Provided more local parts available, VW will be the most popular European marque in Mysia.

Anyone placed a booking for any of the new Golf 1.4 which are coming in? I went to the VW Cergas branch at TTDI and the salesman said that they are bringing in 17 units in September and he says a lot of people booked it. I wonder if he is lying to me or not on that haha tongue.gif

Looking at the booking ones tongue.gif

If I were a salesman, I would always say that it is getting fully booked soon to drum support haha tongue.gif

I only met one guy in the VW forums who actually placed a booking on the unit already.

It is a significant achievement that vw able to bring such an affordable cars to malaysia. Imagine if BMW/Merc can follow their ways, then normal citizens will have better chance to own conti cars.

It doesnt matter that BMW/Merc offer cheaper specs and price it lower, we malaysian have been suffered overpriced cars for decades, is time for us to enjoy much cheaper conti cars in future smile.gif
