How long is the waiting list for Golf 1.4 TSI?
*
No waiting list but if you want a 2011 manufactured Golf TSI, the cars are coming in March next year. I think there may still be some 2010 stock left over.

I didn't sell the ori head unit.

Ok, the owner of Exotic Mods gave me a ride in his Mk6 GTI today, very nice!

Found out some new stuff from him:

1) RNS 510 has a new firmware which will fix a lot of the issues that has been plaguing the previous owners. They also carry the RNS 510 at Exotic Mods and it costs RM5200 there.
2) They also have the Golf R tail lights, RM2600 if I am not wrong for the set as well
3) They also provide ECU remapping which is their own mod, RM2800 for stage 1, TSI -> 207bhp, GTI -> 250bhp

He brought me and 2 other friends, his Mk6 is a Stage 2 GTI, me and my two other friends who are all more than 90kg each and he is wheel spinning his front tyres at 1st and 2nd gear. And he is running on 19". Damn kau poisonous man talk to him. So many mods available there tongue.gif

does he cover warranty ?
I know some SA got APR's remap programme and they also provides FOC demo for 6hours...Anytime you want, they just load the programme into your ride

Hmm what happened to that guy who asked about the polo chip module? is anyone else interested in it? This is regards to the polo 1.2 TSI.

VAGSG members have already got it. However they have not replied to my query yet on it. Thinking of getting it straight from the manufacturers in Holland. Stage 1 bump. VAGSG member tested it on dyno and recorded 132 Ps. Stock on brochure rated in at 105 but it has been shown to produce up to 120 actual...

So this module actually functions more for power band and fuel efficiency with a little bump of about 12 Ps : ) whoever is interested please discuss here thx..

BTW this is plug and play so no warranty issues

Yes, if you do any mods at Exotic mods, just service your car at FA Wagen (Jln 222) and say that you got the mods from Exotic Mods. Warranty will still be in place.

But most ECU remaps are undetectable anyway. I am planning on the APR one as well, rather go straight to APR instead then ask the SA to do it tongue.gif

hi Mavik,

i tought ECU remap will be easy to detect if we go to servicing at Volkswagen. that is why some perfer go for stage 1 easy plug and play solution like ventura chip tuning. unplug it when you go to software update or servicing , then plug it back after serviced. (only 3 cable connection anyway)

http://www.venturatuning.nl/merken/chiptun...-tsi-105pk.html

i do see some feedback from vagsg forum that if you happend to go service at volkswagen and get a software update, it will erase your ECU remaps, then u need to go the mod shop and redo mapping again. but i do agree that custom ecu remap will give you more tune compare with chip tuning. IMHO blush.gif

If you use chipping solutions like Ventura where it is obvious there is a chip connected to the ECU of course VW will see it.

The ones done by APR or the Custom one by Exotic Mods are direct porting or flashing your actual car chip so there are no connections needed at all. Just go nego with them, that if ever the case that VW service center wipes it out, they will just plug in the engine map again. To them its basically just connecting a PC and remaping the ECU. Only difference is that APR is more expensive than the Exotic Mods one but ABT is still the most expensive. rclxub.gif rclxub.gif

Not getting it yet, probably wait after a year then plan for the remap. Who knows, next year there might be better custom maps available out there haha.

Well here are some info from APR's website.

http://www.goapr.com/products/ecu_upgrade_14tsi_twin.html
http://www.goapr.com/products/ecu_upgrade_20tsi_trans.html

Well for Jalan Sg Besi it is run by Wearnes. Not too sure over there will make noise or not. Its far for me to go there but since only need to send in every 12-15k km then no problems tongue.gif

If got a lot of problems (touch wood) then I would bring it to either Jalan 222 or TTDI
