It should have the necessary documentation as well as the serial numbers (which you need anyway to recode the unit) and also which car it came from e.g. From a PAssat CC with serial XxXxxxxx

You can check those info out from the VAGSG forum. A lot of stolen units seem to end up in Malaysia.

Well that's the case for some occasions and basically how the world goes round. My friends just booked 3 GTIs, waiting for their paperwork to be done. They have to wait till March for their cars. Quite a long wait but they are getting darn a lot of discount!

Wow.....well, after getting my GTi, I dun wanna know what discounts others get. Dun wanna heartpain. Wakakaka. March means 2011 cars liao wor... I wonder will they get the LED lights as standard like in Sg. If not, then ask your frens if they wanna get the lights together.. maybe get better rates. no need ler... the only noise i hear is from the tires... and that is something that can be fixed if you change em to those with less road noise. there's nothing wrong with the soundproofing of the mk6. rather i find it too quiet.... can fall asleep in the car anytime

i really don't get the LED movement most carmakers are embracing these days. OK on an audi. damn weird on a merc/beemer/veedub/honda/etc.

Ok, the owner of Exotic Mods gave me a ride in his Mk6 GTI today, very nice!

Found out some new stuff from him:

1) RNS 510 has a new firmware which will fix a lot of the issues that has been plaguing the previous owners. They also carry the RNS 510 at Exotic Mods and it costs RM5200 there.
2) They also have the Golf R tail lights, RM2600 if I am not wrong for the set as well
3) They also provide ECU remapping which is their own mod, RM2800 for stage 1, TSI -> 207bhp, GTI -> 250bhp

He brought me and 2 other friends, his Mk6 is a Stage 2 GTI, me and my two other friends who are all more than 90kg each and he is wheel spinning his front tyres at 1st and 2nd gear. And he is running on 19". Damn kau poisonous man talk to him. So many mods available there

5k totally not enough. even with 10k nett salary also hard unless that person either totally no other commitment or very little commitment. and not many ppl can get 10k nett salary below 30 too

Unless if that dude has a huge chunk to put in as downpayment...... and take very little loan lor.

Need 10k income for RM200k car? exaggerate or i missed out something ?

How long is the waiting list for Golf 1.4 TSI?

If u want a 200k car and live comfortably, then of course u'll need more than 10k. Because 'normally' people will have other commitments as well (such as housing loan, insurance premiums, etc.). If your income is solely for your car loan financing, then I'm sure u can make do with just 5k a month.

i've done the math.

RM50k deposit, RM150k loan, 3% interest over 5 years. that would amount to RM2875/month repayment. 7 years @ RM2160. (for the sake of argument, let's assume that you wouldn't want to take a 9 year loan for a golf gti)

so yes, with a RM150k loan, take home pay has gotta be at least RM9000 (in my books, anyway) so just afford a car, house, and other misc commitments.

No need so much income also can..... just get a rich wife. Or a wife with a rich daddy.
