Anyone placed a booking for any of the new Golf 1.4 which are coming in? I went to the VW Cergas branch at TTDI and the salesman said that they are bringing in 17 units in September and he says a lot of people booked it. I wonder if he is lying to me or not on that haha

btw.. goin 18" wun cause the car to b lesser power meh ? i dare not go 18 since the GTI also 18... and GTI is 200hp... so thot of just upgrading to 17".. afraid will makan too much of the 160hp and increase FC

Heard that FA Wagen offers a package where you can get the 17" GTI rims as well. Gonna check with Wearnes if they offer that as well.

Collected my Golf just now !      first trip back home already already going through heavy rain.  Quite scared

of other car might rear ended it.  One initial early finding, roof sound insulation not as good as I thought it would be,

can hear rain quite clearly though not as bad as Honda.

yah read abt how the computer will try to adapt to your driving style and do calculation lah ini itu .. seems to be like an adaptive gearbox that learns your driving style ..

anyways i dun c any prob with slow pickup.. i kinda feel it's too difficult to drive in a jam.. coz touch the gas pedal a bit only the whole car feels like wanna jump n whack the car in front's backside...  a bit jerky when u r caught in a jam coz too much power . but once on open road.. it's cruises with speed and elegant

at first that was a problem for me too, no electric seats but then i spoke to my client who drives a 5-series and he says that electric seats are overrated.

Pros
- cool and you get to store all your seat settings
- better adjustment capabilities

Cons
- when it breaks down it is costly to repair
- if you get into an accident and the car battery is cut off, you can't move the seat. A case where firemen had to use tools to free my client after he got into a major accident

Anyone else got their Golfs yet?

Test drove the golf gti yesterday:) now I know why it's such an iconic and popular car.
It was awesome - the 2.0 TSI engine is amazing - virtually no turbo lag. Loved the burble sound from the exhaust everytime I changed gears.
Though I love the looks of the scirocco I think the gti has it in the bag.
It's a shame the 2.0 scirocco is priced so much more ad this would have been my first choice. The 1.4 can't match the feeling i get when driving 2.0 i guess it's true when they say theres no replacement for displacement:)

i collect the Polo at TTDI. color is silver.
the quality and handling is superb even its a lowest rank continental car. just want to ask u guys, why i cant lift up the wiper? the front bonnet is blocking it, its make difficult when washing the car
