Once a while it okay. Cant always put the guilt trip on yourself. I have a lot of favourite food which I stay away from but when the craving comes I let go.

body fat analyzer? how much did u get that one for..
btw i stopped by mag store and read men's health august... it stated that one way to burn fat faster.. when u do ur usual gym and dieting and exercise.. do have a cheat day once a while to eat as normal (not binge) to maintain ur leptin level. argument stated that once ur body used to negative balance. then long term it will slow down fat metabolism therefore ur fat losing regime will not work so great.. logical as body protective effect on long term starvation i guess??? |

I already stay away from a lot of unhealthy yummy food. Anyway, nowadays eat out once a while making me feel like not that used to it, perhaps too oily for me. |

QUOTE(zedstat @ Aug 9 2010, 04:31 PM) body fat analyzer? how much did u get that one for.. Some articles on MH aren't all 100% correct, but this one you mentioned is true to the facts..btw i stopped by mag store and read men's health august... it stated that one way to burn fat faster.. when u do ur usual gym and dieting and exercise.. do have a cheat day once a while to eat as normal (not binge) to maintain ur leptin level. argument stated that once ur body used to negative balance. then long term it will slow down fat metabolism therefore ur fat losing regime will not work so great.. logical as body protective effect on long term starvation i guess??? I'll just 'cut and paste' the explanation due to laziness: QUOTE Along with hunger pangs, leptin also signifies a slowing metabolism. Whenever you are on a hypocalorie diet for an extended period of time, your body will begin to slow its metabolic functions in an effort to 'make due' with the amount of fuel that it is being given. Know what this means for you? Little or no fat loss. Not a good situation. QUOTE .... your goal is to periodically kick your leptin levels back up so as to avoid the intense physical hunger and the slowed-to-a-crawl metabolism. More from source: SOURCESome people will chose to have cheat days in an effort to accomplish this goal, which is basically a meal or whole day of professed binging on everything in sight. This may not be the best course of action however. Leptin is highly responsive to glucose metabolism so when doing a refeed, you will benefit much more if the majority of your excess calories are coming from good sources of carbohydrates that will turn into glucose. When done this way, leptin levels will show a significant rise over if you had eaten a surplus of calories coming from more protein, fat, or fructose. You may find this also interesting: 1 whole cheat day VS. 1 cheat meal every day http://www.elitefitness.com/forum/diet-bod...-day-23754.html |

QUOTE(zedstat @ Aug 9 2010, 07:56 PM) I guess it depends on original weight.QUOTE(Sarah Angelina @ Aug 9 2010, 10:13 PM) Yet I find it so difficult to lose another 5-7kgs for myself. Somehow now I wanting to have a firmer body than light weight. I noticed that once you get into the rigth BMI, weight loss is so insignificant that it is depressing to keep track. I guess you should tone up the body instead. |
