maybe ur ssd has too many apps installed?
for ssd that have degrade over time, u need a secure delete in order to restore back to fullspeed

The installing should be the same as installing a HDD.

For AHCI, it's just normal setting between AHCI or RAID, RAID is only available if you plan to RAID it (Requirement, 2 same HDD or more)

For TRIM Support, it is a feature which prolongs the peak performance without suffering performance degrade overtime.

I have an extra Samsung SSD(THIS) and I'm using THIS MOBO.

Question #1 : If I were to use the SSD, will my MOBO slow down the performance?
Question #2 : If I were to sell, how much will it worth in the market now? (used unit)

The RMA of the SSD

- Intel 0.1% (against 0.3%)
- Crucial 0.8% (against 1.9%)
- Corsair 2.9% (against 2.7%)
- OCZ 4.2% (against 3.5%)

Intel confirms its first place with a return rate of the most impressive. It is followed from Crucial, which significantly improves the rate but it must be said that the latter was heavily impacted by the M225 - the C300 is only reached 1%. The return rate for failure are up against Corsair and OCZ especially in the latter confirmed by far his last position. 8 SSDs are beyond the 5%:

- 9.14% 2 240 GB OCZ Vertex
- 8.61% 2 120 GB OCZ Agility
- 7.27% 40GB OCZ Agility 2
- 6.20% 60GB OCZ Agility 2
- 5.83% 80 GB Corsair Force
- 5.31% 90GB OCZ Agility 2
- 5.31% 2 100 GB OCZ Vertex
- 5.04% OCZ Agility 2 3.5 "120 GB

Note the courage of Corsair Force 80, who came to be inserted between cousins OCZ based SandForce ...

So SATA3 is not recommended since it slows down VGA performance via the PCIexpress ?

doesn't the SATA3 controller hops through the pci-e bus on its way to the CPU and is limited to 500Mbps? Certain intel mobos only though

yes i does.. but it all depends on your mobo pcie lanes. if u running your ssd through sata 3 then u can put your gc in the second pcie slot if u have another that runs x16. but if u running sli then no choice laaa.. u have to sacrifice.

Hi guys,
What do you guys think? CORSAIR FORCE 3 60GB or OCZ AGILITY 3 60GB? Both priced below RM400. Or do you guys have other suggestions that falls within the price range.

both about the same performance.. if i were into sandforce and have a good sata 3 controller i wud go for vertex 3. but in your case i wud go for corsair since it has better return rate over the latter one
