Got lah bro, Super Sunday last night, shown till the kick off time at 11pm, then ESPN switched to X-Games. With all the analysis about formations, strategies, etc.

I just calculate based on RM20 HD service with 100,000 customer. Not include with cost for whole package and number of customer.
Just imagine astro have 1 million customer and everage billed is RM70 per month

RM70 x 12 = RM840 per year
1,000,000 customer (maybe more) x RM840 = RM840,000,000 = almost 1billion per year

I know it a business but they must has a responsibility to the malaysian people.

What responsibility? Social? They are a monopoly for goodness sake, they don't have to listen to anyone. They may pretend they are listening but truth is, they don't give 2 hoots. Of course you can cancel but to those who got used to having multiple channels for such a long time already, do you think they will cancel?

Of course they are making money. From subscription fee alone is close to RM1billion as you calculated and that's not including advertisement revenues. Don't come and say pay TV is not supposed to have advertisements. That's naive and apart from the movie channels, you will not be spared from paying to view advertisements.

firstly bro..just want to correct u on something..usaid any match shown on Supersport wont have Sky Sports commentary right? not exactly true..ESPN had the Tottenham vs Man City game on Saturday and they did not have the Sky Sports feed too..so maybe its a Premier League channel production channel now everyone gets the same commentators? I would swap anything for the return of Sky Sports commentary.. really miss the Martin Tyler and Andy Gray commentary team even though we only have had 1 round of matches..i think thats the biggest thing people hate right now..Singapore viewers had the same problem after Star Hub won the rights 3 years ago..anyone know whether they got the Sky Sports audio feed since mioTV took up the rights from this season?

Astro 'expert pundits' are very 3rd class pundits..really hated astro experts..its like comparing 1st class and economy class..they were dull..the studio was stupid..who needs to know what channel is the programme is on when we already are watching the bloody show itself..i mean come on..just put some graphic of players would do..it really sucks to have a big Supersport logo on the back....they sit so far apart..

Singapore showed all the matches LIVE at the weekend..and I mean ALL..no delayed like astro shits..stupid astro..they have the rights to show all 380 matches LIVE but they dont have the capablities to show all of the matches at the same time..they won the rights for a reported RM800 million yet they cant find a way to show all matches LIVE ..something that a lot of other countries have done for a long time..

N please..BAN JAY MENON FROM ASTRO FOOTBALL SHOWS!!!! Her footballs almost came out last night..already hated her on FOURFOURTWO now she's on BPL..ESPN STAR SPORT DIDNT NEED women on their programmes..astro do..and they suck!!!

Mio Stadium? Singtel's Mio Stadium? It's a web based broadcast, no? And ESPN lost John Dykes and Patrick Kinghorn to Mio? Based on the screen capture, they had Alan Curbishley and Lee Sharpe as their pundits. Is Mio available as cable TV in Spore?

Yes the set for the pre-show looks huge and even more so on 16:9. Yes I agree that the presenter and their pundits should not sit so far apart. The set designer ought to be sacked! And as for Jay Menon..I was hoping her "football" dropped out last night At least it would make things more interesting. I nearly fell asleep listening to Peter Barnes' babbles. I repeat I wish for Serbie to come back to Ass. BUT Serbie needs either McMahon or Masefield in order to click. It was hilarious when Patrick Kinghorn and McMahon locked horns the last few seasons. But it's all distant memory now.

actually Astro have the right to do the same thing..they can actually take that broadcast feed instead of using thier own pundits..nooo..they had to show they are clever so they hire their own pundits and expert that included peter boring barnes, malaysian national liverpool born keeper syed adney, a coach from new zealand or australia that looks like he's from the A-Team or something and of course half naked Jay Menon..

in fact, astro shows LIVE BPL news from the UK studios at 1am every night..so they have the rights to show live shows from the Uk..its just that they think they are better than the UK pundits when in fact they are bloody horrible..

U can still see shebby and steve mcmahon go at it on ESPN like tonite on the Monday Nite verdict..its something like a new Football Focus show..
