I think this is a preliminary proposal only, pending for objections fr residents being affected.
After SKIP passing by Kinrara Uptown shoplots, in order to bypass residential areas, it goes straight up cutting Ayer Hitam Forest Reserve until touching KR border, and then make a sharp left turning into AHFR again passing fr the back of Kinrara BK6 Hening, came out cutting through Duet Residence's land, end joining back to Kinrara main road.

1. Behind Hening is a large natural reservoir, will be a hassle.
2. Duet Residence 2 acres of land is part of the route, could it be? If yes, then Duet Residence has to be cancelled.

drop? no way it will drop

when MRR2 was in construction? "they" said surrounding taman price will drop.
when LDP was in construction? "they" said surrounding taman price will drop.
when MEX was in construction? "they" said surrounding taman price will drop.

now which taman suffers deprecation of value? u may replace MRR2 LDP MEX with any other highway stated above as well

I for one is all in for SKIP.

Looking at the rough drawing by UFO & thestar paper, it is closer to Palmiera than Ambrosia. We should take note of the following:

1) The highway is not elevated, it is on surface level, so it shud b parallel wif the access road towards Palmiera/Ambrosia
2) The nearest proposed interchange (no. 2) is right above KR, wher residence can use it to access SK, Cyber & Bk Jalil
3) Yes, with the highway as the borderline between KR & forest reserve, u end up smelling green as well as tarmacs & dusts :s, not the most desirable situation
4) Traffics passing by KR will increase many folds, which will be good for those shop lots in Damai Utama (currently mostly vacant) & nearby but not too desirable for Kinrara residences
5) What could be equally worrying is the proposed Kinrara-Damansara highway - anyone have any idea where does it cut through??
6) There is no interchange proposed between SKIP and MEX, can only access MEX via SK or Sri Petaling, no shortcut to KL
7) The highway charges per entry fees regardless of your entry point, it remains to be seen the position of the tollgates

Personally, I do see it as a plus point to the residence. The population boom in Kinrara is already creating traffic bottlenecks in SK and Bukit Jalil. Something needs to be done before this place hits critical traffic situation......

One thing we could do is seek clarification on the proximity of the highway to KR from TMS and relevant authorities....

It will not be so sought after if it is near highway
Noise is one problem, during highway constuction time can be quite annoying
House structure will be affected, cracks... U name it

Price will not go down?
more of not much wants to buy prop next to highway what more unconstructed highway

Now I m interested to know if mah sing is aware this

Added on August 30, 2011, 10:20 pmOne thing I dun like is, many spend >mil to buy house
And it comes with so much uncertainties

This skip thing is being overated here....

1st ...only a few young pakatan fella came out with the announcement...talk only...highway concessions belongs to federal...so far nothing has been said from federal govt.

2nd...is a damn long way b4 commencement or any action taken...after election who knows what will happen...and this skip thing might only be for election campaign...like the old town pj story that has been telling election after election

3rd IF it ever take off...the content of the press conference states cleary:
All highway will be built on BRAND new routes no upgrading of existing roads AND WILL NOT touch forest reserve
land at all AND will not affect existing residential area....dun see how they can achieve that on the kinrara residense side...either these guys are high on drXgs on dont even know what they r talking

Conclusion : finish talking but dun even know what they r talking! doh.gif

Is this highway cutting thru the reserved forest?

Teresa Kok promised NO development activities there. What happened now?
