i prefer braided..really much more durable
not really hard to clean ar..i use wet cloth to clean it i think still ok
maybe it is not as flexible as pvc once bended will keep bend
but this characteristic make it hard to be bend also

SIGH...y do manufacturers like to do this shit?

it may look nice...but dust gets stuck to it...and cleaning out a PVC cable is a whole lot easier rather than braided cable....which is almost impossible to get the damn dust out.

unless you get a flexible PVC tubing to put the wires inside there.

braid cable involves something like dry cleaning, you can't use a wet cloth to wipe it just like wiping pvc cable.

Ducky MO is closing tomorrow :}

Choices are black, blue and brown switches.

165 SGD + 22.2 SGD for shipping to Malaysia + 6.8 SGD for paypall transaction fee = Total 194 SGD
194.00 SGD = 460.005 MYR  flex.gif
Ducky 9008 black (Cherry mx brown, blue or black) + free full set of key caps + wasd white keys with black lettering + key puller @ MYR 460

Cherry G80-3494 Lycus-2 black (Cherry mx red) @ MYR 556.855

Logitech G19 Keyboard for Gaming (rubber dome) @ MYR 539

STEELSERIES-7G  (Cherry mx black) @ MYR RM539

Razer BlackWidow Ultimate (Cherry mx blue ) @ MYR 399
So basically i'm paying less, for a better mechanical keyboard. Rubber domes sucks (unless it's a Topre which is a hybrid)

The price for the Ducky could have been reduced further if it was a Malaysian MO. However since the Singaporean bulk was pretty much already organized, i just tagged along with them doh.gif

got blank keyset for cherry mx?

wan flexible for wat??? its a keyboard!!! how often does anyone move their keyboard around?

mouse means i understand la....

and inside the cloth braiding is also a PVC tube... its not just direct cloth then the wires...

seriously...as someone whos into DIY audio cables...sleeving like that barely does anything for protection. its just a selling point bling.

But you better keep the 7G, might become useful again one day when you start back your gaming sessions. biggrin.gif

one moment you said that braided cloth is chaotic, now you are bashing me up for giving you an idea.

I'm talking about something similar to this laa. Cable tidy icon_rolleyes.gif the flexible PVC tubing.

Yea, hard choice, but I still think the 7g is just average for typing. I still prefer my laptop keyboard at typing.
Gaming 7g is great, but playing starcraft 2 I hardly notice the difference. Maybe thats just cause of my low apm. However playing platformers or spaceshooters with the 7g is just awesome.

when you playing sc2 you seldom press few key in a moment
it is lot different compare to when you playing fps and mmo like wow
you may do up to 5 action in 1 shot
moving aiming skill prone duck plenty of key together

That's pretty neat already and very cost effective too. I used to utilize those sleeves but if there are always hardware/device changes then it is a bit troublesome to take it out from the sleeve. hmm.gif

if say is just for 1 or 2 wire i think the cable tie is more than enough
but for plenty of wires i think the pvc tubing is better..cover all wires into it look tidier
